The Japanese samurai was a warrior who lived and fought by a rigid and uncompromising code of honor. Such a devout warrior would only accept a sword of the finest quality and appearance, and that weapon was the katana. Each of these superior swords offers a carbon steel blade, wooden sheath, and matching traditional cord wrapped handle. Tomahawk, XL1050.

Not a bad sword for thirty bucks. Shipping is great as usual, though it had better be for 10 bucks more. Just got it and I am satisfied; pretty greasy but I expected that. One thing I am disappointed in is the paint. There were already chips on the scabbard revealing the white underneath. The scabbard also is a bit cheap, but that is to be expected; I don't have a problem sheathing the sword and taking it out like a lot of people are saying. Also the guard on the katana, as well as the blade really, is pretty scratched up. Speaking of the guard, the freaking made in china label is facing up!!! Would it be so freaking difficult to place it on the other side so no one would see it?

Personally I would try to put in a bt more money for a better sword but this is a really great starter sword or a sword for display. Very sleek look and good feel to it. I'm glad I bought it!

I got this sword a while ago. The butt of the handle is secured on and you shouldn't have to worry about it falling off, but if you tug on it enough it could fall off. The wrapping around the handle is superb for a sword this priced. The wrapping hasn't even moved since i first got it. It stayed nice and neat. The tsuba is very strong and hasn't wobbled and i don't see that it ever will. The blade is very strong and has a nice look to it. The blade is so strong in fact that i threw it down onto a cement walk-way and the blade was undamaged besides some of the lacquer on the blade scraped off. The blade is a little fidgety when sliding into the scabbard. The blade can go into the scabbard either way but it is only supposed to go in one way. If you put it in the wrong way then you can scrape the lacquer off the blade. The scabbard is made of metal and suits the blade nicely. Overall the blade is extremely sturdy and tough and looks great, but when sliding into the scabbard can scrape the blade.

    It's a good, weighted sword.
for people who wants to buy it : MUST READ Cons
    1. as the description, current stock of the sword does not have the golden engraves on the blade.
    2. Imitation ray skin on handle : it really looks fake-ish when u really look into it.
    3. YOU CAN SEE the SUPER GULE on connected part(blade and handle), which means it has a possibility to shoot the blade out while swinging it(not even cutting). MIGHT GET HURT
    4. It is not sharpened, even the edge. (this does not mean you can buy it to a 8 yrs old child, still can stab into something even its not pointy.)
    5. It is a Straight sword with Double Edge sheath, you can't tell the direction of the sword when you Draw it, Main reason I don't recommand you to SHARPEN this blade because you can't tell which side is blade when its in the sheath.
    6. There is a CHINA mark which represent it is made in china on blade side of Tsuba(hand guard). Little bit annoying.
    7. It is not a Bent Sword. which means weight balance isn't very good for slashing motion, Thus slashing power decreases and uncomfortable.

That's Probably all Cons for this sword.

the blade itself i found very nicely made, the only real fault i could find was that the Tsuba was very loose i mean so loose it made me sad but other than that it was fine I'd still recommend this sword for anyone new to sword collecting use or display!

Very well made sword. i like that the sheath is made of metal and the blade is very sturdy. only complaint is sometimes i have to struggle to get the sword in the sheath and the blade came dull.
