Used this through a routine punish the hell out of it and for its size it has a lot to offer from self defense to shop, craft, throwing and more. Held a good edge sharpened easy. Putting one on opposite end of a 36" spear. Good match with the M48 harpoon on 6' staff. We'll worth the money.
Love it. Small but balanced and just the right size to conceal and then whip out and hitting the target fast. I got two of them. Only proble is the cord always unwraps with use. I apply rubberized liquid that hardens and keeps it somewhat in place. Good deal.
I got this from my 16 year old son he loves it he has all kinds of knives he has been collecting
Got it a couple of weeks ago came sharp as a razor . Have been using it for a thrower and works very good .
This is very well made, and balanced throwing axe. I have bought many knives from BUDK and haven't had a problem with any of them. If you want a good throwing axe, get this one.
Yes this tomahawk is small but it still fits in your hand well! It came to me as sharp as could be. Its extremely light but still has the weight to throw far and accurately. Do to its small size, it's lightning quick for hand to hand combat; even more so when you're holding two of them! It's one solid piece of metal so it's not breaking any time soon. The rope around it makes for a good grip. This axe makes a great gift for people who want an easily concealable tomahawk!
This is my third thowing axe type weapon and it's a beast! It may be small in size but not in performance. It's razor sharp and flies with the best of them. I'd even hold it for a chop or two.
My brother and I got these as Christmas gifts from our dad last year. I laughed because they were so small, but when I started throwing them, I took them a lot more seriously. The wrap on the handle started falling off after a couple of throws, but they fly well without it. The only thing I would recommend is not hitting metal with them or they blade will chip. That's expected though. They stick extremely deep in melons, plywood, trees, squash, and probably zombies lol. I would buy these again and again given the opportunity. Cannot beat the price. Very good hawks. I love them.
My, gosh! What an awesome tomahawk! I am a beginning thrower, so i don't have much to say, but wow.Razor sharp. The cord wrapping wasn't so great, but i like it better without it.
this tomahawk is great! easy to but in backpacks or what ever! bad thing about it is that the paracord was falling off so i had to re do it. the sheath is ripping but over all a very good axe.
I have been throwing for many years. To my surprise when I received this item it stuck every time into oak timbers which is very hard wood. This item is a must buy for all types of throwers novice to expert. Thank you Budk I will make every purchase from you.
This is a cool little tomahawk. Its kind of small so if you want something big this isn't for you. It is balanced well for throwing I stick it just about every time. Its pretty sharp. It easily sticks in trees.
i love this, this thing is razor sharp out of the the box. it a little on the small side but i love it. also if i walk on the street with it to go to the other woods no one will know i have it. so if u want this go and buy it.

this is way better than my friends...his is so bad that his first throw it chipped...this thing is a beast and by far the best one you can get...this thing hasn't chipped after 100 uses and it still looks new...my friend was jealous that it was big and really light
fun little tomahawk. only problem I have with it is the cord cover over the handle came undone after about 15 throws at a target. other then that its a lot of fun. ordered two
Nice, sharp, balanced, and great for short stump stickers! I put plastic urathane on the rope handle then painted rubberized the rope handle, wow! then great long lasting grip! Would give 4 1/2 stars but after YOUR OWN rubberized spray grip then 6 stars! Grampa always said thread, twine, or rope wraps rods and knives must be laquored for long life! Thanks Gramps, and BudK !!!
Bought this to carry on camping/hiking trips to make kindling and what not. Came very sharp and the sheath is ok. Replaced the nylon cord with paracord 550 and this thing is ready for the outdoors. Might buy another to put in the truck for the winter emergency bag.
OK well I'm really excited about it ha I just got it about 2 hours ago and its 8:14 pm and I love it already. I haven't even got to throw it yet or use it very much but, chop at some wood and it cuts awesome, love it. It came real sharp right out the box I cant wait till tomorrow and throw it. Con's: it is very small but its great for 9$, I did make a un-boxing video for budk's youtube page, thank you budk and Chrisy for packing.
It's not bad at all. It came fairly sharp, the spike on the back was actually sharper than the blade. The sheath is acceptable. The wrapping on the handle kind of sucks. I wrapped paracord directly on top of the original wrap. It doesn't look great, but it does provide a pretty secure grip and made the handle thick enough to fill my hand much better.
Strong steel with good balance makes this nice to throw. It can also hack through small branches with ease and holds a fair edge.
Great if you're looking for a tactical throwing axe! It's very thin and lightweight making it easy to throw at the most unsuspecting targets. Don't let the title throw you off/confuse you, this isn't your typical survival axe. If you tried cutting down small trees with this, the blade of the axe would probably get stuck in the log because of how thin and razor sharp this thing is. I threw it at a tree out in the woods where I live and the full front of the axe was in the tree and it took some strength getting it out of the tree. I threw it and threw it and it stays together great. But don't expect to just take this to go camping with, because it's not a really good camping axe. This is more for people who like tactical weapons and throwing knives/axes. I wouldn't recommend this to a camper/hiker/survivor because it is a throwing weapon, not a survival tool. I was purchasing it for survival emergencies, but when it arrived I found out what it really was and that is just a tomahawk. Overall it's a nice throwing weapon, but not for survival at all unless you're trying to survive some war or some zombie outbreak (lol) then it's for you! -Dave (Backwoods survivor.)
Really really small but the price you pay for it, it's not bad. Sharp on both ends, good weight for throwing.
Way too small for camp work, it was very sharp but didn't have enough weight. Come on guys, I have been in survival situations for real, not just Xbox or play station, and unless you need a bad**s cheese knife you may want to choose another option. I'm not complaining, this is my honest opinion. And as to throwing, keep your weapon with you at all times! Don't p**s off your enemy AND give him an ax too!
