Best CHEAP machete around Reviewed by Doug Miller on Feb 05, 2016   5 out of 5

I like to say there are 2 kinds of machetes. Good quality & cheap. Rarely do the 2 meet. But every once in a while, they do. With the price drop to $12.98, I decided to get the U.C. Columbian Parang to try out. My first impression was it's heavy, & larger than I expected. It was very sharp, meaning a bit above utility sharp. You can see the machine grinds in the edge. I got it out to the woods & was very pleased & surprised with it's performance. 1 inch dead pine branches in January will kill a poorly tempered edge. This beast passes right through, 2 chops for 2 to 3 inch. Larger stuff, it bites deep. While it handles light brush work like sticker bushes & weedy under growth, it is heavy & will tire the user quickly. To clear shooting lanes, trim branches on trails & process small camp fire wood, it is a must have. I will get 2 more to keep on the family's ATVs, although, my wife will probably want to stay with the Big Bohica for it's light weight & more user friendly sheath.

Beautiful blade Reviewed by Wil Richardson on Jan 02, 2016   5 out of 5

The handle is very firm. Balanced but heavy, good for some reasons and not for others. The baked black finish is gorgeous the pictures do it no justice great machete.

handle is poor Reviewed by Todd on Sep 13, 2014   1 out of 5

My handle came loose after a couple swings, and the blade holds an edge for a very short time

U.C. kicking some butt with this one. When I decided to by a parang I was looking at this and Beer Grills version. Beer was more expense and did not even look as good as this one. I decide to buy U. C. and have been happy ever since. This piece is worth way more than the price. One of the things that keeps me buying U.C. is they give you better quality then what you pay for. Sure I like other brands such as cold steel for different reasons but U.C. is one of my favorites!!!

Awesome machete! Reviewed by Stone on Jan 10, 2014   5 out of 5

Yet another great piece by United Cutlery. Well made machete. Very strong construction. Very thick (and very sharp) blade. Comfortable handle. Can definitely do some quick chopping. By far the best $20 I have ever spent! Worth every penny and then some!

AWESOME!!! Reviewed by Boondoggle on May 30, 2013   5 out of 5

Sturdy, full tang, reliable, nice weight, it is like a big meat cleaver. Well worth twice the price.

A Beast Reviewed by Jake the zombie survivalist on Jul 11, 2012   5 out of 5

This is a camp for camping, trail making, and zombie killing. My dad, my friend, and me went on a camping trip. It was great for getting firewood and cutting down trees. Then we made trail that was a mile and a half long. We had our machetes and got busy. Overall this a great machete.
