Honshu Full Tang Tanto Knife

"An excellent modern Tanto. I like it so much that I made a Saya for it to display it in a rack with my others. The leather sheath is also very nice."

Father’s Day gift

"My son got it for me, wonderful addition to my Honshu collection. Has no real practical use, but I put it on my bump in the night belt and I take it on hikes."

handle

"The handle is a rat tail and the pommel is will known and documented for breaking off during high impacts."

Fantastic

"Large, solid, sleek, and sharp. It's just the right kind of heavy. Mine came quite sharp and it has no trouble cutting through just about anything I throw at it. Feels amazing and looks... just... clean. Would highly recommend."

I LIKE THIS!

"I have knives ranging from Rough Rider to Randall Made and nice stuff in between. I recently bought a Cold Steel Magnum XII Tanto in CPM-3V steel. I prefer the traditional tip and I like D2 steel. So when I saw this for a decent price I thought, "Why not? And get it engraved." I just got it in and did some cutting on some random materials to slice on. No, it doesn't shave (not always a good thing if you understand edges). What it does do is CUT. It slices very nicely through paper, cardboard, and even sections of pool noodle held in one hand and just whipped through. Much sharper out of the box than the Cold Steel. The etched engraving was ever so slightly tilted. The sheath is a &*&%h to get the snap snapped the first time. I finally got it snapped and will leave it for a few days to stretch in. I do have to say that in the hand this feels better and is much livelier than the Cold Steel Mag XII and sharper. I do like the CS Sheath better, but I would happily trade the CS Mag XII for another one of these. In the past, I've looked at Bud K as a place for mall ninjas to get off on. Lately though I've found some nice offerings from them and excellent customer service. In my old age I've even decided I need, okay want, a few functional, battle-ready Zombie Apocalypse toys, I mean tools for a little backyard cutting. Hence, the Honshu battle-ax I purchased here a few weeks ago. Now, this Tanto. It may be modernized with the TPR grip, but it is still a classic styled blade in a good steel that moves well in the hand and cuts as well as it handles and looks."

It will CUT!!!

"Very satisfied with Honshu's variation of the Tanto! Not just a fighter, the 10+ D2 blade can be counted on for any situation you need to put it thru. Passed all my tests with "FLYING COLORS" and still as arm shaving sharp as when I got it! Just ordered one for my son cause you can't go wrong with this bad boy right here..."
