Good performance for the price Reviewed by Chuck on Feb 16, 2015   3 out of 5

I got two of these last summer during a BOGO sale. For the price, it is a good knife. Since I had two, I stress tested one with some heavy duty tasks and I did break the handle off. However, since it is not full tang, it was not meant to do the tasks I was putting it through. I keep the other around my workshop. It has a very sharp edge and a good point for piercing, making it perfect for cutting open packages and bags and cutting up cardboard. It fits very securely in the sheath and the snap is very snug but easy to operate. As long as you remember that it is not full tang, it is a very useful knife to have around.

sheath isnt the best Reviewed by connor on Sep 19, 2014   4 out of 5

I bought this knife with the buy one get one free and I have to admit that these knives are very sharp. I like everything besides it not being a full tang knife. its well balanced but the only problem I had was when I unsheathed the knife and put it back in the blade went right through the last quarter of the sheath. disappointed but budk said they would send me a new one without charge. great knife overall for the price.

1 OF THE 4 DAMAGED Reviewed by Scott on Aug 28, 2014   3 out of 5

The Knives are good Quality However 1 of the 4 I purchased had A split in the sheath & Beings I purchased them for resell & Not planning to increase the price much just to help feel up the shop a little. Not being able to resell all four has made this a loss

Great value Reviewed by Chuck on Aug 21, 2014   5 out of 5

I really like this knife. It's a perfect size for my preferences and it is very strong and durable. The sheath is also very good quality and secure. I think this will be my new daily use knife. I got this with the BOGO deal and thought I'd give one to my dad, but now I'm thinking I'll keep both!

great deal here :-) Reviewed by jeremy on Jun 25, 2014   4 out of 5

Maybe not full tang but still a well balanced blade, just came in the mail yesterday ( plus got two for one... how can ya beat that?) Came extremely sharp and ready to rock and roll! Adding this as a back up to my bug out bag and the extra one I'm giving as a gift to a friend. The grip feels great and it seems to hold its edge pretty well, once again bud k has come thru on a great knife and a fantastic deal, its worth every penny !! Thanks bud k :-)

Thick Blade, Well Ground, Lacking Good Tang / Handle Assembly Reviewed by KM on Feb 27, 2014   4 out of 5

I bought this United Cutlery "Edge" line Marine Fighter during the buy1-get1free sale, so total cost was $20 each after shipping. For that price, I feel these are worth buying. It has a solid weight in the hand, feeling similiar to my SOG Seal Pup Elite. The blade is stamped as having stainless steel (i would guess 440 stainless), and handcrafted in China. The blade is thick, with decent grinding and a sharp edge. Also of note is that the butte grinding was not symmetrical, indicating it was indeed hand-made but not with very high quality control. If you look from directly behind the end of the knife you can see that its off a bit on one side. Not a big deal i suppose, you have to pay attention to notice. The black coating on the crossguard and butte of the knife is somewhat easy to scratch, so I took 400 fine grit sandpaper to mine right away to get rid of whatever was going to come off anyways. This modified the finish to a lighter crinkle steel grey, which doesnt look bad. The same finish is on the blade, but seems to be a bit more durable there than on the handle hardware. The rubber grip is comfortable, I have smallish medium size hands. I think it would still work well for people with medium and even larger hands. The exact blade steel isnt listed for this knife, but it seems to be 440 of some type. My biggest disappointment in this knife is that if you firmly tap on the handle you can hear slight vibration inside..this likely means that it is not full tang (meaning the core of the handle is the same steel piece as the blade and extends to the very back of the handle) or if it is then its a thin rat tail type of tang which isnt well secured and could break under high stress. If you only plan to do lighter tasks like skinning animals, etc, this knife should serve well. I would not attempt prying on anything with much force like I might with a Cold Steel or S.O.G knife of similiar design but which are fully hardened steel with full tang design
