The V-42 was designed in part by the Commanding Officer of the First Special Service Force, The Devil's Bridgade; Lt. Colonel Robert T. Frederick. The knife was designed and constructed with the sole purpose of battle in mind. This knife was the trademark weapon of the Devil's Brigade, and its members were trained extensively in the use of the V-42. Our historically accurate replica features a stacked leather handle like the original, as to be easily handled in cold weather. Each dagger offers a razor-sharp, double-edged stiletto blade that pierces through even tough materials with ease. Thumb notches are cast into the handle above the guard to keep the knife from slipping when wet or wearing gloves.

"Bought this knife many years ago when it was half the price. Took it out today to oil it up and put leather conditioner on the grip. It is a rock solid dagger that came razor sharp out of the box. Didn't really examine it when I first got it and it has sat in the box for years. Today I took a thorough look at it and am so impressed I intend to order at least one more. V42 stiletto buyer beware

"The knife itself isn't completely horrible, it feels balanced and is comfortable to hold. The bad, it's dull like really dull, I order a knife I expect it to be sharp at least. The thumb pad on the blade is barely there, if you are going to make a replica do it right not half assed like this one. The sheath is absolute hot garbage. The leather is really thin, feels brittle and cheap. I expect the knife to puncture the sheath on the first use. I understand that you get what you pay for and it was only 50 bucks or so but if I could have actually seen the knife I wouldn't have paid 20 bucks for it. My overall review Cheap Pakistani junk that might break if it's used hard."
