Heck yeah!!! Reviewed by Joshua Davis on Nov 02, 2015   5 out of 5

Just wore as an accessory for Halloween but this isn't a toy. Fairly sharp, hit with stone or sharpener for your preference. Grips are good, not too hard, not spongy. Sheath gives the option to wear lower on leg with a removable Velcro strap or use the hard loop made into the sheath. Has rubber hold to secure knife at top but also snaps in at guard. This works ok, a little loose so use your rubber fastener if moving around a lot. Overall I really like this big boy and no significant complaints.

I like the smooth. clean look of this Vietnam Tanto knlfe It looks to be a close copy of my Cutco, but with a Tanto point. I did not like the rubber band secure it system. It was also not razor sharp out of the box. Those 2 reasons brought it down to 4 points. Otherwise, a fine knife at a Great price.

Pretty good Reviewed by Nathan on Sep 13, 2014   5 out of 5

I ordered this knife and let me tell ya its a great knife, I wasn't expecting much for $12.99 but this knife proved otherwise, its great, holds its shape, pretty sharp out of the box!

Marine Survival Tanto Reviewed by rockinRD76 on May 26, 2014   3 out of 5

I bought this looking for an edged weapon somewhere between my pre-existing survival knife and a pocket knife - just something to keep on your belt while camping, hiking, etc. Size wise, it does fit the bill. Like the others have said, it is a medium hardness steel and so won't hold an edge as well as a carbon steel blade. Out of the box, it is handsome, and threatening in appearance. The handle is simple, yet ergonomic for my small hands. It also has a hole drilled for a lanyard if you so desire - nice touch. The pummel is flat and therefore useless as a secondary weapon. However, it is well milled and firm. Being a partial tang weapon, it will be good for hiking, camping, general defense - everything I bought it for. For emergency use as a shovel - NO. The blade, out of the box, had a reasonable edge. In other words, it was a good start and not impressive, but after 20 minutes on my bench, it was a force to be reckoned with. I've never had a larger, non pocket knife with a combination smooth and serrated blade, but I have had success with a combo pocket knife, and so I thought I would give it a try. In sharpening the combo blade, it was initially challenging to get an edge at the blend point where serrated meets smooth, but it was workable. Overall, not a bad investment at all for a blade under $20. I can see this lasting quite a while.

It's a nice knife out of the box. Sharp but remember it's a cheaper steel and not full tang. If your using it for simple tasks, perfect knife. Survival knife, I wouldn't bet my life on it.

Good deal Reviewed by J on Feb 21, 2014   5 out of 5

I just got this Bowie today and got a little time to try it out and check over it. The size is fantastic of both the blade and the handle (which is very comfortable to grip). The sheath itself may be the only thing in my house to withstand a nuclear blast- it is tough! Holds the knife well. For under 15 buck I am VERY happy with this purchase.

Great converted thrower Reviewed by Ocala Jack on Feb 16, 2014   4 out of 5

Converted 3 of these into throw ers by replacing the heavy butt plate with a split ring to hold the handle in place. This gave it an excellent balance for both no-spin and handle throws. I've hurled these beauties for 2 years without so much as a broken tip. The only drawback is that they are too pricey. Throwing weapons are ammunition not heirlooms. But when BudK puts them on the 2fer sale making them less than $7 then they are a super value. Happy throwing.

Good knifes for the money. Reviewed by BobK on Dec 08, 2013   4 out of 5

I bought this Vietnam War Serrated Tanto Knife & the drop point version. I feel the pair are worth $20. I now have both blade types for any situation in my tool bags. Good knifes for the money.

What I expected Reviewed by Jonathan on Aug 09, 2013   4 out of 5

This knife was exactly what I expected when I ordered it. It did come with a great sheath and I nice big handle which I like because my hands are pretty big. The only Con I can think of is that the blade was unevenly sharpened which can be easily fixed. Nevertheless it's a good buy for what you're paying for.
