Well balanced. Sturdy and can be very intimidating if needed. Its a fine little cane.

I bought this for when I am walking our small dogs. We have had some sightings of coyotes or wolfs in this area. So far I have not had t use this for protection, but I have no doubt it will be useful if i need to.

This self defense cane is everything I have ever wanted. The Brass Head is so solid and weighs more than enough to strike a disabling, if not deadly blow to any dog or human that one might encounter while on a peaceful walk. The Head fits very comfortably in my hand, and the length is perfect with the included rubber end cap. So discreet, so handsome and so elegant. I ordered this on Monday 8/2 at 11am from Spokane, Washington and it arrived today 8/6 at 3pm PST! I have been a BudK customer for almost 20 years and so pleased with this purchase. I purchased this mace cane from BUDK approximately two years ago, and I was impressed with the product I received. I recognize the brand (I think this was made by Windlass Steelcrafts out of India). And this specific mace head is almost always out of stock in the other two web shops that commonly sell them. Not at BUDK, though. As far as the mace cane itself, to call it "cane" might not be the best use of the term. This is a formidable hand weapon that can bash and bludgeon with the best of them, at comparable size and weight. I love it, and the only reason I reduced my rating to four stars was due to some oxidation and blemishes on the finish of the mace head. Likely the fault of the manufacturer, but it's only a superficial defect.
