"Reliable. I usually set it on charge about every two weeks to make sure it is charged. Holds a charge for a long while. Great item for a disabled person to carry. Practice drawing the stun gun to build muscle memory (without engaging the stun feature). The light is very bright."

"I used it a couple of times once to get someone out of my truck after they reached in to swing on me when they were road raging the second time on a pitbull that got out of it's back yard. It came running towards me as I was walking on the sidewalk opposite side of the road from where it was. 3rd time to get a drunk roommate of of me. I'm a disabled person from a motorcycle accident. I was 52 at the time they were 30. Works great but keep it charged up. Don't just arch it and hold the button down showing off they can burn out"
