Dwarven Greatness!

"I LOVE the aesthetic of the dwarves weapons- and was happy to add another on to the collection! UC really brings the screen weapons to life in their replicas!"

No issues

"No resin cracks at the hilt that I heard about. All is well."

An Unexpected Return!

"Well, United snuck this one up on us. When Kit mentioned on UCF the color had been corrected on the hilt my interest peaked. My older review of receiving a cracked one years ago is still listed. I'm happy to revisit these years later and say this latest reiteration of this replica is far better than what we had years ago, and it arrived undamaged. The hilt now has a more onyx / black color to it with light applications of blue highlights. Opposed to the older, comically blue, guards and pommels. The handle also doesn't look like it's been dipped in honey mustard anymore. It has a nice metallic weathered finished to it now. All and all, as someone who stopped collecting years ago and sold off almost all of my collection. This was a good return, especially for The Hobbit license. Not enough dwarven stuff gets made. This replica will look great next to my custom Deathless. *cough* Give us Deathless *cough*"

Meh... Yes and No

"I finally broke down and bought one, despite all the negative criticism. And, the remarks online hold true for mine. Upon opening it I loved it. It wasn't as big as other complain as far as scale goes and the paint job didn't really seem as bad as other claim. Basically at first glance I loved it, its actually got some weight to it as well which was surprising. Upon a closer look, some paint/material was chipped of on the ravens cross guard, not a deal breaker, a sharpie and some smearing hid it completely, You could never tell. Then I remembered people complaining about resin fracturing... Sure enough, upon looking, where the handle and cross guard meet, a hairline fracture circling almost the entire handle... I bought this piece to judge if I should continue collecting BudK/UC's resin line up (Dain) and basically, no. I'll take the hit on this one, but won't risk anymore. Stop being cheap and make them to the QC standards UC did before. I get being cost effective, but there is a point where you sacrifice customers. Don't get me wrong, I still want to like this piece, but the crack running around the handle is gonna bother me, and basically I'm hesitant to even hold it as it may finish breaking."

Looks siik

"Looks and feels amazing. People dont like it bevause its not made of steel but united explained the sword wouls be far too heavy to hold. It looks just like in the movie and fun to swing around. Cannot beat the price. Thanks budk"

Patric S. (5/5)

I thought it would be

"I thought it would be like a broadsword but its actually kinda small. due to it being a cast replica it feels more like a toy than a weapon."

Michael D. (3/5)

Good price, fun wall hanger

"Great buy for the reduced price. Unbalanced and odd in the hand but pretty awesome to have a Dwarven sword. Grab it while you can because at this price it will be gone soon. The plaque is pretty cool but I would say this is one of my heavier wall hangers, make sure you mount it securely."

Richard Y. (3/5)

Great Replica

"This sword is an amazing replica of the movie sword. The raven motif is stunning and the plaque is one of the best created in the line. The only reason I did not give this a 5 star rating was due to the polyresin finish. I understand the use of this material, but I prefer real metal weapons. Still a great addition to my collection."
