This twin Viper sword set has the strength and durability to let you hack through almost anything! Each sword is constructed from one solid piece of stainless steel with a black anodized finish. The handles are nylon wrapped to insure a tight grip at all times.
They really cut anything I've never had a Knife/Sword set that was this sharp Thank you Budk tip use some gorilla tape on the top and bottom of the blade
I bought the viper set a couple of years ago and was really impressed with the blades. The cord handle works but I wanted something more substantial so I custom made handles to replace the cord. I had to get a machine shop to drill the holes for the pins because the steel was so hard it was eating up carbide bits. Now listing the Viper Set on last week's sale at BOGO Free, I couldn't let that slip by. The steel is good. Works like a machete cutting through branches. I even cut through a 2x4. Not decided yet if I may or may not put handles on the new sets. 3 sets may sound like overkill, but a set is in the car and a set apiece for the Bug Out Bags. IT'S A DEAL AT THE $20 PRICE BUT 2 FOR 1 IS AWESOME.
I got this set a few weeks ago and I am very happy with it. Perfect balance, and size for a bug out bag. I will be recommending to all my friends and family. Thanks BudK
Awesome looking set!!! Use em mostly for fun, d**king around in the backyard and such, not really chopping down trees or anything. But they came sharp and have held their edge so far. The black looks bada$$ too!!
first off wow amazeing set 2 things they came semi sharp 1 had the black paint chiped off the handle but al together nice set if u really wanna make it stand out get yourself of paracord and rewrap the handle like i did i put black paracord on both of them looks amazeing easy to sharpen and clean wish i woulda got the rainbow one haha this is a must buy!!
Very good quality merchandise at affordable prices. Everyone must of thought the same thing because it was on back order for 5months
Fairly priced: bought as a gift for my husband. Very good metal. Sturdy. Arrival date was acceptible as well. My husband didn't like the fact that there wasn't a lot of support in the handles; whatever he struck would reverberate up the blade and into his arms and hands. Very nice feature however: when the material and "tape" is removed from the hilt of both blades, an opening in the metal allows the installation of a sturdier hilt. Such as a wood grip, or rubber; very inexpensive intallation. I would recommend this product for any blade-lover, survivalist, collector or enthusiast. :)
Excellent product. both me and my partner have a set. Exceptional service and would rate service AAAAA++++++++
Bought these just to have a cheap set of blades, but was VERY suprized. They are thick enough for real use and made of 420 stainless. When I recieved mine I put on my kevlar gloves, grabbed the handle and tip of the short sword and bent it about 20-25 degrees, and it sprange back to true. Not bad for a set of $20 blades. The strap is too short though for carrying on the back though, at least for me it was. Overall though I would rate them a 10/10, and I buy custom blades at $350+ IMHO you can't go wrong if you want a good set for low cost.
AMAZING SWORDS FOR THE PRICE.the lage one has a nice surdy blade (for the money) small one all so nice but litle two small handle and bolth came sharp but sharping is always a good idea.NICE QUALTY!
Solid and sharp. Most knives I order need sharpened, not a big deal. The are not the size that you would expect, but well worth the money.
These swords are awesome! They come pretty sharp out of the box but its nice to take a sharpener to them. I've cut down small trees with them. Works just as well as a machete. The handle is a piece of crap, I just undid the wrapping and re wrapped it. Now they are perfect and work extremely well!
I'll make it simple... Great weight, Nice handle wraps, Easy to sharpen, the sheath worries me a bit but I will easily re-inforce it & that's not important anyways.. I am more than happy I bought these... THANKS BUDK.. This will not be my last purchase.
I've had these for a couple years now. I bought this set and the Timberwolf full tang ninja sword. I bought them for the purpose of adding one of them to my camping gear set for bushcraft/survival setup. I ended up using the small 18" sword as my main machete/batoning tool. Just like Mora Knives, these things are really durable if they are maintained. For all of you trying to figure out a solution for the crappy handles they come with, I've for a really excellent long term solution. Go to your local Wal-Mart, etc. and grab some tennis racket handle tape. Not only does it increase the thickness giving the handle a great feel, it's non-slip and cushioned so when you're whacking with it, it will absorb the vibration and not shake your teeth out of your skull. They work excellent for batoning and limbs/trees to 4". Softwoods are better of course, but it's a machete, not an axe.
These swords are AWESOME! My brother got them for me for a birthday gift since my last swords were stolen. Honestly these are the greatest blades I have had in a while, they are very sturdy and can be sharpened very easily. They came somewhat sharp but I know how to sharpen blades with a good stone and got these to shave and accidentally cut myself while doing so. (whoops) but per the previous reviews the handles are not very good but that can easily be taken care of, overall the two blades are well worth the price!!! They have been the first purchases from Budk and not the last, currently waiting on the M48 Hawk and some additional throwing knives to arrive to my house, I CANT WAIT!!! THANKS BUDK!!!
these swords used to be my absolute favorite with no contest but recently i was playing with them a little more than usual and the handle ripped and i saw that the handle is bull crap its just 2 pieces of wood taped in between the blade but luckily i work at a machine shop so i drilled into the handle to make the wood better supported than some electrical tape but still 5 out of 5 because they do NOT lose their edge whatsoever
These are pretty good swords, and at a great price. I thought they'd be a little bit longer but I'm not complaining. Very good deal.
these knifes are awesome. They are very sharp out of the box. Not as heavy as i expected but that is good. The blades are really good i have been wacking on trees for 2 days straight and it is still sharp, and it only took maybe 10 wacks for me to knock down a 4 inch tree. but the handle stinks the stuff on it just falls right off the first few wacks, so just put some duck tape around the handle and it works just fine. then the sheath is cool cuz you can carry it on your back and everything but it is hard to get the knives back in. but these knives are totally worth the money if you don't get it you are crazy. so get them they are great. fantastic, awesome, spectacular, and stupendous. so hurry up and get them before i run out of words.
Amazing for the price! 19 bucks for two blades usually means you're getting 2 polished turds. Not at all the case with these. They come will oiled and fairly sharp. Great for beginners! The only real con is the wrapping around the grip, its cheap and it comes off...but if thats the only problem with these, i say its well worth the $$.
These are fantastic swords great for the price I paid for them. They are excellent for slashing things. But I think they should be sharper although they were sharp out of the box. But the only fault is the nylon wrapped handles come loose. But overall these are very great swords! THX BUDK.
overall these are the best swords that can be bought for 20 bucks. they come very dull but can quickly take an edge. they are very durable and are good for anything you would use a normal machete for. but the grip can fail so make sure to take off the original wrap and replace it with tape. other wise you might end out with stitches in your legs. (personal story)
These are very crisp, nice sharp looking blades. The hilt is pretty flimsy, and the back strap is totally useless, as both blades face the same direction, and it sits at an awkward angle to draw the swords from. But as for the blades themselves, excellent. They are sharp, solid, and very deadly looking. Great addition to my collection.
These where my first Budk swords. i am very happy. I found out how sharp they are by mistake. I like the feel and weight. very good for home protection and can take a limb off very easy. I have become a big fan of Budk due to these swords. Thank you Budk.
This set is amazing for the price. The handles are full tang, the blade is made of a very strong metal, and it takes to a sharpening and blunting very well. (Personally, I blunted mine for the sake of using it as a safe practice blade set) The only issue is that the handle's two layers will fall off rather easily if you sue this often, and it's hard to re-wrap. Nothing that Electrical Tape doesn't fix, though.
these will always be in my heart. they come pretty sharp, which is good, because this is my 1st buy and i don't know how to handle swords. these look awesome, feel right when in your hands, and actually cut tough material, unlike display swords. A MUST BUY.
The handle wraps arent that great but the blades are nice, a lil dull but i just accusharped them up.
The smaller of the blades is smaller than I thought it would be, which is actually perfect!

I'm impressed with this specific product. Skinnier than I thought they would be, which also worked out to my favor.

Blades are nice and clean. Great for professional sword fight practice, as dual blades or as single blades.

Very pleased with this product! =)

5/5
these things are amazing, my first swords-didnt know about budk at the time. i got em from a shop in the mall. i use them mostly to clear brush. i still do and there 4 yrs old-these wont let you down combat wise-ive never had to use them in a fight but i held the long blade and the shorter away from me (not at the same time, i used 2 hands) and had a friend wail on em with; a crow bar, 1h knight medievalist sword and a 2h katana and for the heck of it a mop(still dont know why) i still use them and have long since sharpened the dents out
i wasnt expecting much out of these but i was really surprised. they will cut through flesh like a hot knife through butter if you arent careful. i practice with them a lot. their edges dont ruin very easily. it takes something very solid to damage them. my biggest problem is that d*** sheath. it fits on my back and all but it doesnt suit the blades. they just pierce and cut right through it. but h*** they were worth every penny.
great swords for the price. sturdy sleek and feel natural when swinging. perfect to just play around with cause if they break theyre cheap to replace. the sheath is actually a nice bonus too
Excellent fighting weapons. Extremely razor sharp. Great variety of 2 sizes for combat. Only trouble: The scabbard is easily pierced by the razor sharp tips (have to reinforce it). Pretty flimsy -- Should have been a hard sturdy material; then it would be a perfect set.
This is a good, the large sword is very sharp, great for messing around and cutting weak stuff, but the only bad thing is the handles, the nylon comes apart really fast but I just burned it back, and it seems to hold now, but over all good deal
These swords are very durable and light. My only complaints are that they are not sharp, the handle material comes off easily, and the sheath is too limp. But for twenty dollars, this is a fantastic deal, a must get for sword fighters.
i am rating this i on a money/value scale, hence the 5. this set includes one blade about the size of a wakizashi and one tha is bassically a ninja-ish version of a long knife.

the hilt is kinda thin for my taste. it's the size of the back of the blade plus a little padding. it is not very sharp at all. however it is decently balanced, although light it has a good feel to it, and the ricasso is a great touch. all in all, for $20 you can't go wrong.
Blades are well designed, could be sharper or just me, but i like some things to be razor sharp.

the free sheath is pretty flimsy, but it gets the job done.
Good buy for the price, but i do prefer the kantanas offered on True Swords more.
this is my first sword from here! Well when i saw the box i just thought wow this is huge but then i was like dont judge a book by its cover because these were a lil to small. other then that there perty sharp ;) light weight but the grip is a little loose, but other then that its a very good product for its price!
very nice product easy to swing light weight and tuff. looks exact to the picture but bigger =). um the wraping around the end slips so careful there shap but not razer sharp good prudut good buy.
well what can I say that hasn't been said yet these lil blades are a beast sharp out of the box not super sharp but was able to go right outside and hack some of the rose bushes in the back yard ( don't tell my wife) the grip not to bad but far from great but what can I say I got them for $10 so all in all very happy with them thanks budk
The blades were fine but the sheath and the cord wrap on the handles left something to be desired.
Like everything that BudK sells, the viper set is a great value for the price paid. These are mean little blades and are excellent for home defense.
Bought these on a 2 for 1 sale expecting little. honestly the handles leave much to be desired. I dipped them in liquid rubber and on the other set I made new handles. As far as cutting, I was cutting through 1" sweet gum branches with ease. 1.25" pretty well too, 1.5" was almost but not quite. Still, my cold steel machete couldn't do that either. No twisting or bending of the blade. edge stayed sharp, black stayed on. If the handle was better it would be a five star.
Nice set. The swords are lighter than expected, a bit flatter than expected, but that's fine by me. I agree with other reviewers that the sheath lacks a bit in both durability and ease of extraction; but then again, what do you really expect for $19.95? I'm quite satisfied with the swords themselves, and that was the whole point of buying them.
These swords are a nice value for the money expended. Blades are sharp on delivery and seem to be sturdy and a nice length. The sling is just a bit tight, but should break in nicely
These are a great pair of swords! Since I am a small guy, the weight and feel to these swords is excellent, and they are sharp! The "taped" hilts are a small downside, and I would prefer a quick-release sheath to the nylon one, but other than that the swords are a good buy.
These blades come nice and sharp right out of the box! great for hacking things up. The only negative thing that I've found is the nylon sheath: If you are not VERY careful when you slide the swords in they will cut through. Other then that, a GREAT buy for the price.
Very sharp! The tips were a little bent which tore up the sheath somewhat. The long sword is a little wobbly but works great for hacking banana leaves.
The viper twin sword set is amazing i ordered 2 and they came really fast, they were sharp. the 11 inch is perfect for a machete. the one bad thing about them were the grips they came loose but it can easily be fixed.
I just received mine in the mail and I'm impressed. I took a ceramic rod and done a finishing sharpening on them and they will literally shave hair off my arm! I can't really find a gripe with these blades, especially for the price. I would give it a 5 star rating if the handles were done in parachute cord. Not that it's a problem, but I've got extra big hands.
Got my set during the buy one get one sale and didn't think they would be all that good due to the price but wow ......they are sharp enough to do some damage, metal is solid only thing keeping it from a 5 star review is the cheap grips that are easily fixed with some quality paracord.......thanks BUDK see you for my next order in 7-10.
I got this as part of the limited BOGO offer, and four swords for 20 bucks was practically a steal! The handle wraps are terrible, but who cares. For the price I will wrap them myself. They are sturdy and have a super sharp tip. Fun swords to mess around with.
Great for beginning sword collectors works good as a machete plus slices through 3 full water jugs with ease only thing i can complain about is the crappy handles i re wrapped them with duct tape and para cord now they are solid.
the swords held up good. came sharp but the tips broke off in 2 days overall good sheath crappy though
Nice swords after I upgraded them. The handles were covered in rope and you can see the black tape. Sheath was weak. If you upgrade it, it will look awesome.
First off I keep my collection as sharp as i can, so these two didn't take much to sharpen. What I don't like is that on the picture the end of the little viper meets the top of the handle on the big viper. Well on my vipers, the little one is 2" shorter.
I have been very impressed with these swords. The feel is very natural and the blades are properly sharp out of the box. The sheath could use one improvement to make it more useful: Put the leather liner all the way around for the larger sword, and put a leather liner in for the smaller sword. Due to the wickedly sharp tips on these blades, they do have a tendency to snag on the nylon. I would give the swords a 5 star, and the sheath 3, thus my overall 4 rating.
i really like the look of the two blades nice swords for the price. I'm very satisfied with the swords. will be a returning customer. very fast delivery
after a while the wraps come off i got them one day and the next day the wrap was falling off little gorilla glue fixed it the two of them get snagged on each other when in the scarab and you try to pull them out but other than those things good buy
Good swords, very sharp, but the case is flimsy and the sword punctured a hole in it the first time puttin the knife in.
Not at all bad for the price. The longer sword's blade was slightly bent. They're pretty sturdy regardless (tried to bend it back a bit, it's not that easy). Can't beat the price though!
Since day one this sword had impressed me greatly. After six months of usuing it, it still is razor sharp. this is well worth the cost. GO BUDK
Great swords, cheap, good shape, good color, good blade. Only one defect, the handle. Under the lace the shim had hold by a black sticky tape. It is a litle beet week and easy to damage. But for this price it's very acceptable. Sheath it's a extra very appreciable.
I liked the swords very much, they had a good feel to them. They are very durable but the material on the handle came off quickly.
i am very impressed with the item, coinsedering the price the viper
set is well worth it . i would not take these blades in to hardcore battle. but light hand swords like these would fit an assasins hands & needs very well .
I got it with BOGO & free shipping, so worth the $20 (4 blades total). These are "ok" if you understand what you are getting. Two of the blades that came have a slight bend to them. Still very usable but that's a 50% flaw ratio! They come fairly sharp. I took the cheap handle off one of the 26" ones. It is full tang with no welds BUT most of the handle is hollow!!!! It has 2 veneer slips of wood with black plastic held in place with cheap cordage. After I decide the best way to redo & wrap in tight paracord , it will be ok.Those 2 slightly bend blades will be useful in the yard next summer. They will take down some vines & saplings without trouble. Nice little yard tools & backup blades maybe but DO NOT get in a sword fight with one of these.
I was waiting for a BOGO deal for this set. the first thing i did was unwrap the handle and use real 550 cord to wrap it again, i knew I was going to do that even before I received them. The blades were very sharp and ready to go, there is some flex in the blade, best used on softer material ( it is not a machete). One of the short swords has a slight bend, about 1/4 inch difference from end to end, the other swords are very straight. The sheath is not very good quality, one already had a hole in it when i took it out of the box.
I purchased two of these on a BOGO deal. In all fairness it was a realistic price the blades look and function great but the handle wrap is a few points off than expected. the fake leather on the sheath and the back strap are under par as well. The velcro secure strap I give them the benefit of the doubt. overall a good combo, just be realistic with your standards.
bought a pair of these, one for myself and one for my brother, and loved them. unfortunatly they cant take a hit very well. my brothers broke after only a few swings and now mine have been retired to lighter jobs as a result.
This set is a good buy for what it is and the price, The set came razor sharp, but quality of the steel is chincy and breaks easily, smaller of the two is actually the better of the two.
PRETTY ASSUME LOOKING SWORD. WHEN I GOT IT , IT WAS SO DULL I COULD RUN MY HAND DOWN THE BLADE. HAD SOME SCRATCH'S ON THE BLADE. THE POINT IS SHARP AND WENT TRHOUGH SOME BOX'S. WHEN I TRIED TO SLASH A WATER BOTTLE IT JUST FLUNG IT OFF THE TABLE AND CRACKED IT. THE VIDEO IS VERY DICEVING, OR THEY GOT A SHARP ONE. I RETURNED IT AND BOUGHT THE FULL TANG DOUBLE TANTO SWORD SET. THAT OLE SAYING, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. 10 YEARS OF KENDO AND IYATA.
I just recently bought this set. I have to admit I was pretty disappointed. The blades are both extremely thin (less than 1/8 inch thick for the longer blade, a full 1/8 inch thick for the shorter blade.). The back spine of the longer blade was very poorly cut (ribbed around much of the edge of the sword, other than the sharpened edge). Also on the longer blade, the hollowed grind of the sharpened edge was also uneven, also ribbed. The longer blade was also bent. At the top 1/3 of the blade, the blade has about a 5 degree bend to the side. Overall, not thrilled with the long blade. That said, the shorter sword was not so bad. It doesn't have any of the spine or grind issues that the longer blade had, and is perfectly straight, and generally just feels a lot more solid than their longer counterparts. The angle at the top of the tanto blade is not as pictured. THE MAIN PICTURE IS NOT THE PRODUCT YOU ARE PURCHASING. WATCH THE VIDEO. You are certainly getting what you pay for.
