DIY: Simple Paracord Knife Handle Wrap
Date Published: 2013-05-17
Letâs face it, when it comes to âcraftinessâ we are all not created equal. Some of you might know what Iâm talking about if youâve ever tried to make your own paracord bracelet. Sure, it looks so easy on the videos, but go ahead and try to make one yourself and see if you think the same thing. But, another really popular paracord project is to wrap knife handles with it. There are a lot of different techniques that look really awesome, but weâre going to show you the simplest way ever. Weâve also collected a few videos of other methods that were way too complicated for us to attempt at this time that are located at the bottom of this post.
For this project youâll need three things:
We chose our Tactical Warrior neck knife for three reasons. The handle leaves something to be desired. It is an easy handle to wrap, and itâs only $3 so anyone can afford one! We wrapped the handle in our Black Savage Paracord. Itâs made in the USA and has a 550-lb. rating, so we know itâs tough. I have actually towed my F-150 behind another truck with this cord to test it. Itâs TOUGH. So, letâs get to it. Remember to melt the end of the paracord after youâve cut it to keep it from fraying. You can use a regular lighter, but a butane lighter is easier to control.

| Once youâve reach the top keep wrapping. Then youâll cinch it as tight as possible and pull your tag under the last loop. | Once youâve pulled the tag under your last loop, melt it with the lighter then press it down hard on against the cord while itâs hot. This should form a glue that holds it tight. | Tactical Warrior neck knife before paracord wrapping | Another view of the handle when itâs done |
