Very happy with the zombie themed Christmas presents I got. this one in particular was for me ;) fairl sharp and a good point on the spike. pleased with the handle, just hoping the cord wrapping stays on. very good Tomahawk for the price.

If you buy this, inspect blade on the handle and if it is loose (which happens with many weapons that will be shipped) then tighten it before use or throwing SO IT WONT BREAK. Its fiberglass so it will be even weaker at weak points but stronger at build points. Be aware that when you buy this after a certain amount of use the blade will have to be sharpened but you will have to use a hand grinder or a bench grinder due to the thickness of the blade from the edge. Besides that, with enough force, you may cleave bone. And that spike is lethal.

This tomahake is Awesome, ive read the other reviews on it but i dont now why they think this axe sucks, i have own this weapon for about 10 months now and with in the firs 2 its started to get marks on the tomahake it self. but that is because i used it ALOT, i thru it i used it on some Drywall, chopped fire wood, its just an Awesome buy,It is the most Durable Axe i have ever owned,My only complaint is thar the core wrapped handle took some geting use to and it came undone after aroud 5 or 6 months

Everyone keeps saying it broke after throwing it... What do you expect?!?!? It's not a throwing axe or it would be called m48 throwing axe lol it's a tomahawk & if your gonna throw it for any reason it should be at your enemy not an oak tree or whatever hard object you people are throwing it at. This is a great weapon and I recommend it to all!

This item lasted me about 3 or 4 months (of throwing, chopping, etc.) I personally was dissapointed when My sister's Fiance threw it and it broke the handle (But everyone knows that if you throw it, it will break after any amount of time), however the stainless steel construction is still very durable, as well as useful. After my handle broke a friend (NOTE: this person is nolonger my friend) made me a Very Nice Oak handle for it (NOTE: as mentioned before all handles will break sometime after being thrown.) And after the Oak handle broke (NOTE: This is the 3 thime that I was able to salvage and use the head of the tomahawk) I made it into a rather nice battle ax. So even though the handle broke (which was inevitable) the Stainless Steel construction was still in perfect shape so that I could always use the head of the ax again.

Great thrower, stuck it into a large cedar tree well over 100 times over 2 days, not a dent or nick on the blade, sinks the blade to the handle nearly every time ordering a sec to work on the double tommy throw.

Ok so I've had the m48 for a couple months now, and I liked it a lot.. well as much as one can like an axe living in a residential neighborhood. Anyways I go up north this weekend and carry the m48 with me on a day of four wheeling, this hatchet made all the difference. It was lightweight and super sharp. I cut through fairly thick trees that blocked our path wih ease. Trees that had 6 inch trunks were cut down in seconds.. its a great tool.. normal guy using it for normal shit. I wish a bear would have rolled up on me, with the m48 in hand I was ready!

I got this for Christmas last year and it is absolutely fantastic. It came super sharp out of the box. It was my first "Zombie" product and at first I was hesitant about the green but that has quickly grown on me and gives it a distinct flare. I also train in several different martial arts systems including traditional and nontraditional weapons. I have undertaken using this tomahawk to formulate our own methodology of tomahawk fighting. My one wish/request would be for BudK to create some poly trainer replicas for safe teaching/instructing purposes.

Great Tactical Throwing Tomahawk. Great addition to my B.O.B. (Bug Out Bags). Have since bought 2 more (Orange & Yellow) but the Apocalypse is my favorite. Accurate for throwing. Can't wait for the Zombie Apocalypse.

Got this as part of the tomahawk/knife/bracelet combo. Feels light yet very well put together. An awesome addition to my zombie killing arsenal. Only complaint is the para-cord grip. Feels very bulky and hard to grab. Fixed this by removing the para-cord and replacing it with hockey tape. Feels a lot better now.

Wow! I was amazed by the quality and construction of the hawk. It is light and maneuverable, yet heavy enough to cut and split wood. The blade and spike are incredibly sharp! The handle is very grippy and even better with the paracord. The hawk is perfect for throwing and the spike will stick in practically anything! If your wondering whether to purchase this or not, do it! This is an amazing deal at just 39.99! I will be getting another only in black, thanks Budk!

this is an awesome tomahawk. Ive only had it one day, but I love it already. I was throwing at a tree in my back yard the spike sticks almost every time but the axe blade on the front dose not. Im only 13 and this is my first tomahawk and its fun to throw and chop old fire wood(that I throw at now). I have a green browning knife that is for zombie killing but so far i like the hawk much much more. Thanks Budk i plan on buying more things.

Great I love it. I did buy it with the para cord you can never have enough para cord. I had a black leather boot lace that I used for wrapping the handle for a grip, standard on end through the hole and straight up the handle and the other end wrapping over under the straight piece until the end then just slipped the tag under the last wrap pulled it with pliers tight and sniped off extra fantastic grip that doesn't move after a lot of use that's why they use leather. wrap it wet if you want it tighter. then I sharpened it with a tool sharpener with a finger guard I got from home depot budk should have it cheaper. It gave it a steeper angle on the blade maybe 25% from the factory 30-35% cuts better and looks cooler and I sharped the beard for the looks. I have two one hanging on the mantle as a conversation piece and the other is working fun scuffed up version. I got the high vis green easy to find when throwing or setting down in rough ground when working.

all i can say is just wow this thing is great it very versitile and fun to throw. the sheath is not what it should be but its the tomahawk that is worth it. and is a great peace for any zombie weapon collector. the wrapping does come loose after just a few throws but is an easy fix, never the less its a great weapon

This tomahawk flies true and commands respect. It's one of the sharpest tomahawks I own. I got three for my son, future son in law and myself for xmas. They take a beating and still hit the target. I would definitely recommend one for any tomahawk enthusiast. Thanx Budk!! Mayhem

This thing is perfect! For the price you pay what you get is probably the best tomahawk I've ever held. It has a great balance and feels natural to use and swing around. The color is pretty cool too if you like the Zombie green. All in all I'd say for the price it would be a 5/5.

This is a great product. Just got it for Christmas today and i'm very happy with it. I took it outside and threw it a few times. It throws very smoothly and nice. The paracord doesn't come loose like some say. The blade is sharp enough out of the box but could use some work.

the paracord came off within minuets but was easy to rewrap a different way. Not razor sharp or even knife sharp, its more like machete sharp. i love this thing so much i think ill get another to put in my go bag or to just have a spare if they ever stop makeing them.

This tomahawk worked great for a couple days, but then the handle broke due to a flaw in the injection molding. I sent a comment to United Cutlery, and right away I recieved a free new handle, and it hasn't broke again. The head is built great and can do some serious damage to any tree, target, or attacker.

I like the balance of the 'hawk..I still haven't put a sharp edge on it as of yet but I have thrown it. A little disappointing at 1st..10 throws and it wouldn't stick. 11th throw, the paracord grip became unraveled. It actually felt better with it off. May do what another person mentioned and use grip tape..A little more practice and it was sticking with the rear "spike". The main blade hasn't stuck yet..Think I'll be ordering a double bladed axe next, or 3..

This is a great thrower. It Sticks very well from axe or spike end. My only complaints are the same as everybody else. The handle had to be rewrapped after 5 throws. The sheath is less than serviceable. If they would offer a better sheath to be bought seperately, it would be bought by everyone who owns this axe. Whoever does quality control needs to spend more time looking at the wrapping job. Why bother if it falls off right off the bat. If it wasn't for the sheath I would have gave it 5 stars.

I've never really been a Tomahawk kind of guy in fact this is my first tomahawk I bought I bought it because it's my color green so to get started im a thin guy to put this on your belt I had to take the sheath of to put it the and then put the tomahawk in not to hard but something I was disapointed in I saw videos on youtube of people using this to break open the top of a car and no damage to the tomahawk so I tried a metal barrel so after I broke the barrel I had to re sharpen the tip <br />So in the end it's pretty good just don't use it everyday for the rest of your life

I had this axe for about 3 weeks. My target was a pine tree so not a super hard wood. And like other people have said it broke below the third bolt! If you want a good reliable tomahawk I'd recommend the wood handled throwing hatchet axe. You can buy 4 yes 4 at a low price than this peice of crap.
