Product Description
This monster machete is equipped with a 13 1/2" kukhri style blade with black baked finish. The impact resistant handle is thick and rugged for a tight, no-slip grip. Includes heavy-duty nylon sheath. 19" overall
This is a great machete for the price. The shape of the blade and overall balance are perfect for chopping vines or use as a weapon. The handle is sturdy with 3 big hex-nut/inserts attaching through the full tang. I wrapped some cloth friction tape around the handle and this made it even better. I liked the first one I bought that I ordered 2 more and gave them as gifts. The recipients were blown away by these blades. Can't beat the affordable price.

Best 10 bucks you can spend on a knife
I was skeptical about this one as I have bought cheap machetes from budk that were so flimsy they bent the edge on striking any solid wood at all, but this one is different. Decent thickness, coated blade, sharp enough out of the box and the belly forward design gives it great chopping power. Not as big as some but the smaller size makes it handy. You can't spend 10 bucks on a knife and get a better one. Love mine. I never write reviews but had to on this one.

Modern Machete with an Ancient Blade Style!
The Big Bohica is one bad@$$ blade. Just don't call it a Khukri, please. It's based instead on an ancient Greek Kopis blade design with a modern traditional machete grip. This ancient yet still highly effective blade forward design, done here in modern powder coated stainless tool steel, provides maximum hacking, chopping and slashing abilities while still allowing for an excellent expert thrust. I have even thrown the Big Bohica effectively. I penetrated our heavy hardwood rear driveway gate by almost 2 inches with a fairly easy throw. This wicked blade is patterned most accurately after the Kopis sword design wielded by Alexander the Great and his hoplites in 5th Century BC Greece. The Bohica is less similar to the Falcata from the 4th Century BC as it has a greater curvature to the inward angle of the blade than the Kopis does. Therefore, the Falcata demonstrates a decreased thrusting capability against the Kopis. The much more recent Khukri blade of the Nepalese Ghurka fighters didn't arrive until the mid-16th Century AD and has the most acute angle of inward blade curvature. So, it looks more like a boomerang than a short sword. Due to it's steeply curved blade the Khukri doesn't thrust well at all. Khukri's are best used to hack, slash, chop, slice or throw. The Kopis has the straightest blade of these three designs with it's sharp thrusting point aligned directly ahead of the hand grip. This, along with it's dramatic waisting and front heavy leading edge, allows for maximum versatility. Not only will the Kopis design hack, slash, chop and slice but, it's also great for thrusting just like a Roman gladius. Primarily, I use my Big Bohica for chipping very hard woods like mesquite and hickory for grilling (like an ax only sharper, faster, lighter and easier to handle.) My Big Bohica even sleeps with me. It gives me a peace of mind that no dream catcher ever could. The Big Bohica is by far the very best $10 blade purchase I have ever made! I love my Big Bohica!

A MUST HAVE!!
If and when the end of the world comes?!?!?!?!?..... This will be on my side hands down!!!! Its a work horse and for the price, its does more than you pay! As soon as I took it out of the box I went out back to chop off and down small branches. And it was toooooo FUN. After that, I turned to my shed and threw it at the shed 7times. It got stuck twice. The blade was fine but a small chip of the handle had fell off. But nothing to BIG. Still a perfect Machete!!!

great machete!
Perfect machete for 10 bucks. Small enough to throw in your bug out bag or use every day. Chops very true with some flexibility in the blade but not too much. Great handle, even when wet. Came very sharp. I highly recommended buying one...or 2 or 3. Just buy and you won't regret it.

BUY THIS
This machete is TOUGH! This machete is as good as most hatches when it comes to chopping trees, logs, or whatever! This machete can take any abuse you can throw at it. I accidently dropped it on some concrete the other day and the tip chipped the concrete and when i picked it up the tip was as good as new. Buy this machete!

Everyone should have one of these lightweight machetes
Just bought my second. Don't get me wrong, this is a CHEAP knife. But, after a good sharpening, This solid, strong, lightweight machete is always with me when I venture out into the woods. I bought the second one for my wife's quad. I used it yesterday to clear shooting lanes at my deer stand, I've used it at my campsite up on the mountain. I have 8 different machetes, all much more expensive than this, but this is the one i usually grab. Lets face it, The best tool you have will always be the one you have with you, whether your talking about a knife, machete, axe, or gun. Lightweight & sturdy. nuff said.

Bohica rules
Buy this machete!!! Its the best ten bucks I've spent since I can remember. Throw a quick edge on it and you've got one mean machete. Out-does my 24 inch latin machete in less than half the size. Throw it if you want...but give the screws in the handle a few turns, I lost one the first time I threw it, but after tightening the rest, I've had no problems. Amazing value!!! Buy three and put them all over your house devastating to would be attacker. Blade was much thicker than I expected (1/8'') yeah budk!

Machete is nice!
This is kinda small but packs a nice big punch. Came a little dull, but sharpens nicely. This thing does what a machete should do and very satisfied as one of my first purchases on BUDK. You are the best BUDK.

More than worth it.
The bohica looks and feels very nice. Not too big, and not too little. I don't want to use it until I have to. The reason is because it looks so good I would hate to dirty it up unless I had to.

For the $$ cant complain
Not bad for $10. I wasn't thrilled about the plastic handle but with about 30 mins in the garage I made a nice wood handle for it. Had to run it over the stones when I got it but for what it was designed for it was already plenty sharp. Black coating on blade is mid grade at best but effective. Not sure how it holds an edge yet haven't used it enough to comment. The steel seems like it could hold a descent edge for a while. Either way with 15 mins on a med and fine stone the edge comes right back. This is one of my favorite shaped blades and as far as I'm concerned very effective with the last 1/3 of the blade being the heaviest makes it easy to swing with some power and get a good chopping motion going. Packaging could have been a little better. Came in the shipping box with a plastic bag over it with some paper as cushion. With that being said I will add no damage to blade or handle so I guess they got lucky. All in all good buy.

Decent Kukhri
This machete is a decent length and material. It comes with an average edge on it, there's a balanced weight to it, and the looks are very slick. Good for light to average brush, but the metal's finish will soon wear away. Overall, considering this is only eight dollars, you can't go wrong with a Big Bohica!

Big bohica machete
A good blade to take camping for clearing grass and brush. For the money you cant go wrong,,holds an edge well and a nice thick handle.

good kukri
very good machete for the price. Better for grass, and brush then wood because bending can occur. but for $8 no better blade.

far price
The sheath is crap. But it works. . . for now. Redo the handle in paracord and you will have a good machete for ten bucks.

excellent machete
No better machete for light to medium work. Looks great, takes a good edge, and priced well.
