Excellent knife,good feel, scares people (which is why I carry a Colt .45 auto on my London Bridge Trading Co. Uniform Weapons Belt, a gift from a Seal Team 6 friend;
Dad was. a Vietnam Seal and CIA for 22 years so Seals give me alot of gifts)It is a great starter Bowie.Probably needs a "dragger"type sharpener, Smith's is a good cheap one or a similar brand. The serrations are a great upgrade from the original.I have bought about 6 of these knives over the years. You can get this knife in your fist now!!! Its so affordable its not in high priced dreamland!!.I own many high priced combat guns, bowies and short swords of D2 tool steel and high carbon premium knife and sword steel, and I still buy this knife because its large, tough and great quality. My suggestion is pull the knife handle apart.Inspect the blade to tang connection..make sure the weld is good.apply pressure and strike it against something like brick.(.the tang connection weld area) if it doesnt bend break or rattle, put some ultra hard epoxy inside the handle and cover the tang weld with it and fill the hollow handle with it.I have thrown knives with my father,Rick Marcinko the Rogue warrior(our next door neighbor) and many other Seals since I was a child.(K- bars tend to break off at the point) I threw bowies often and some of the pakastani bowies broke off at the tang weld. One huge 15 inch blade bowie stuck in my leg after exploding apart when it struck the tree and I had to be sewed up in the Hospital. Great knife and very very affordable.MickTall46@gmail

amazing knife
I've had mine for about a year and a half and it's still great. I use my knives and swords really rough to see if there can take a beating, I'm surprised this one has lasted this long, I got mine off budk for $8. My friend really wants one but I am not willing to part with it. I can't find this knife anywhere for a reasonable price.

Budget Bad***
I bought two of these knives recently, just because of the awesome price tag. Well, I beat the hell out of one in every way I could. If this knife had a $40 price tag, I'd still buy it. Definitely an outstanding buy!

You can't find a blade for $10 as good as this one, I LOVE IT!! Chopped down an 8 inch thick tree with one just to see if I could. Had to clean the sap off, which was a pain, but didn't harm the blade.

great blade
Very nice sturdy bowie. I use this on my fishing kayak for bait and fish. Great for medium to light duty work. No slip handle makes it easy to grip. Takes an edge very well with a cheap stone. Nice large and reliable bowie for the price. Just buy one and you will not be disappointed.

EPIC KNIFE
This knife is the best product I bought from budk. The blade is really sharp and deadly. The grip had a rubbery feeling that makes the knife easy to hold. The pommel on the bottom is really neat and gives the blade an extra WOW feature.

pig sticker
I love the pig sticker knife. It's worth the 10$ and 5 stars. It came sharp and the serrated edge is also sharp. However, after about 2 months of use the blade got wobbly from the handle but it is easily repaired with epoxy and the case also became broken when the stitching came un-stitched. but that's also easily repairable. But overall great knife I still have it and its still sharp. I recommend this item completely.

Pig Sticker
Have wanted this one for 4 years and it was well worth waiting for. This knife is very well put together. Surprisingly light for the size and it that "wow" affect when you pull it out of the sheath. I am very pleased with this knife and would suggest it to anyone. Thanks for the great price BUDK!

good knife
I got the knife as a gift in 06 when it was called "the freedom knife". it was a good sharp knife out of the box and it had a good sheath. the handle is prone to have some problems such as the factory weld for the handle stud. My knife broke 2 months ago but it lasted me all those years it was a good knife.

I purchased this as a gift for a friend. It arrived at my house today, and I couldn't resist test-wielding it... I am so amazed I think I'll have to buy one for myself... I mean, it's less than ten bucks, and is possibly the most amazing knife I've ever seen.

I just got this blade and... My god, its fantastic, I think that the picture needs to be updated so it will show just how big this blade is, (Its as long as my forearm!) The grip is fine, the blade itself is nice and smooth, perfectly formed... and with the help of the Accusharp... its cutting anything it touches ^-^

Pig Sticking Wonderful
I bought 2 of these knives a few weeks ago. AS for it being made in China that's not a big deal at all. In fact when I pulled them out of the boxes they both have close to a razor edge on them. And the serrated edge on the back of the blade is very impressive . The only problems I see with these knives are the sheaths. The belt loop is to big and there isn't a lanyard hole on the bottom to tie it to your leg and every time I would pull the knives out of the sheaths the saw/ serrated edge catches on the sheath. But besides that I would recommend these knife to my friends and family.. Thanks Bud-K. I will be buying more of these.

A very good knife for the money!
This is a very well made knife, and the handle is very tight. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is the fact that the blade is going to need grinding before I can give it a proper sharpness. It's no big deal, as a friend of mine has a grinding wheel that he uses to sharpen his axe with, and is going to do it for me.I'm going to do some programming on his P.C.while he straightens, and sharpens it for me.All things said this is a very good knife, and I would recommend it to anybody that needs a good knife to head out to the woods to get to their favorite fishing spot.

I have it right now and injoy every bit of it.
Alex Goldstein Apr 12, 2009 (4 out of 5)
It is huge! I didnt expect it to be tihs big. which is the only reason that i dont like it. Some advice: acually take a tape measure and measure out fifteen inches to see how big it really will be. but it is pretty sharp, so that is good.

Just got this knife in the mail about and hour a go and i gotta say it much lighter than i thought it to be. Despite its lightness the thing that impressed me most was the pummle, it didnt look to sturdy so i gave it a few whacks to some split logs out back and it retaind it shape. So all in all for the price this is a pretty badass fighting knife, i would trust me life with it some where out in the woods, but if the situation arose for CQC i wouldnt be to bad.
rusty herman Mar 26, 2011 (3 out of 5)
this knife is sweet, i love it. its light, sharp, and a long blade. i cant wait to go hog hintin with it. ther is only 2 bad things about it. 1: the metal is week i stabed my dresser and wen i went to pull the blade out it bent the tip. i used my ballpin hammer to straighten it out so no harm done. 2: if u wer to hold it by the handel with one hand and use the other to push it from the back that lil knob on the back stabs ur hand so i have no choice but to use one hand with this blade or stab my hand. but other than that its flawless. worth every penny.

Made in China Cheaply
What a piece of junk. Made cheaply in China and you can tell it. Broke the first time I used it with any torque at all. Not worth the trouble. Spend a little more and get a full tang knife. This one is a looser!
