Product Description
Ridge Runner's surprisingly affordable Whitetail Ridge Bowie stands apart from the rest - even among fixed blade knives priced two and three times higher! With its rugged beauty and solid construction, it's perfect for the budget conscious consumer who needs a dependable fixed blade for outdoor adventures with the look and feel of a staghorn bowie. The beautiful handle is bookended by a brilliant brass guard and pommel, which offsets the stainless steel blade's satin finish. At 7 3/8" long, the versatile blade is ideally sized for simple everyday cutting jobs around the home or farm. Its fierce modified clip point profile is great for slicing, skinning, cleaving and even light chopping. Thanks to its comfortable 12" overall length and the included heavy duty nylon belt sheath, the Whitetail Ridge is easy to wield and transport in the field.
This knife is beautiful! I did not expect much for the cost and I am delighted with the purchase.

Much Better Than Expected
Put together well, looks great, shaves hair right out of the box and feels great in the hand. I love it! It holds up to hunting, fishing, hiking, camping and yard work. Holds its edge fairly well and very easy to touch up.

sheath
I would like to buy this knife as it looks to be a quality blade, But a nylon sheath instead of a quality leather sheath for a few buck more would be my choice./

Best deal I've ever had
I have several Ridge Runners; but this has to be the best deal I have ever had. If I had paid full price it would have been a deal; but BK gave me a deal I couldn't pass up. This is a beautiful knife. Forget about wanting a leather sheath and concentrate on the knife. You can find a sheath somewhere else if it's that important. I'm fine with what I got. And mind you I have a big assortment of knives in various dollar amounts. I don't care if it is expensive or not. The important thing is whether it is useable and affordable. You won't be sorry owning this knife. Easy to sharpen, looks great, feels good in the hand. I like it. Should have ordered two.

Excellent value
I am a collector/user. I bought this because of the value and the handle material. I have several types of knives with this handle material and they display well. The construction is excellent, no gaps where the handle meets the guard. The edge and blade are found flawlessly. It is sharp out of the box.

great knife.
Got this as a kotm. Sharp enough to shave right out of the box. Have done some batonning, and feather sticks with it and no problems or wear at all. Still cleans up nice enough to be a display knife. If you are interested, pick it up, you won't be disappointed.

Just received it in the mail. Beautiful, nice feel and weight, for a knife this size of is not too heavy and bulky. Balance is very nice in the hand. Would make a great deer camp knife for butchering, also I classy fighting knife. Mine is razor sharp out of the box and I really like the handle thickness. Personally I don't care for nylon she's the but this one is well made so I think I'll hang on to it, I knew it came with one and I usually make my own anyway no matter what knife it is. Honestly, I give this more than 5 stars, the handle is awesome, it reminds me and of the old Uncle Henry knives. I highly recommend this knife, would make a great gift also.

Great knife
I have quite a few knives purchased from BudK. This one may be the best of the bunch. It certainly is the best for the money. All of the other reviewers' positive comments are true for the knife I received. Thanks, BudK!

Excellent knife from Ridge Runner!
Received this Bowie yesterday and it is razor sharp! Full Tang construction, nice polished steel and a decent sheath. I will have a leather sheath made for it. I would like to see Ridge Runner make more small bowies like the Executive, Celtic Abalone and the Imitation Pearl Handle. I collect them all. Keep them coming BudK!

Sweet blade, a little lighter than I expected, but it still feels good in my hand. Very sharp right out of the box, a little honing and it will shave. Wished it would have came with a leather sheath, but I can make one. Worth $10.00 I may buy a second one.

WOW!!
This knife is awesome! I could not believe that this is 10 dollar knife. The blade is thick and sharp. The handle is very well made. Thick and beautiful. The brass accents are mirror polished just like the blade. Ridge Runner has the most beautiful low priced knives I've ever bought. Get one of these while you can. Thanks BudK!

Wow what a knife!
When it comes to knives, I’m an old fashioned traditionalist. The ridge runner pronghorn Bowie doesn’t disappoint at all. Let’s start with the blade. It’s 420 stainless steel blade that can handle just about any task and one look and you’ll agree. It’s a full tang blade with brass guard and pommel. Now this is the part where the traditionalist comes into play. The handle on this beauty is not real stagg horn but a synthetic polymer type material. It doesn’t feel bad in the hand and looks authentic but again, I’m kind of picky when it comes to these things. I’m not sure how well the handle will hold up in the field so I will write another review upon working more with this knife. But for the price of this knife, it is money well spent despite the minor setback which probably won’t be so much for some folk. Another issue for me would be the sheath. The sheath provided looks to be well constructed from nylon however this knife would look so much better with a quality leather sheath. Again that’s just me but this knife is well worth the price especially considering you can get it for only $9.99 in the knife of the month club.
