United Cutlery has taken the Honshu fighter to next level with this brand new Aizu Ring Fighter. Combining the power and size of a traditional fighter with the tactical applications of a karambit, the Aizu is one of Honshu's fiercest designs to date.

Worth every buck you spent on it.
The knives came in today. Ordered two for dual wielding and practice. They are, as always, incredibly sharp and sturdy. Like the Karambit, the grip feels very ergonomic. I even managed to cut myself because of the way the blade is curved out backwards. (I'm more used to the Aizu Ring Fighter Tanto which was discontinued and now incredibly rare.)

Sweet!
This is an awesome knife! It's sharp and cuts very well. However you decide to hold it. And for the price, it's great. I love the leather sheath it came with. Thanks BudK!

great fighter knife
i picked two of these knives up in a buy one get one sale, and having handled them now, i would easily have paid for both of them. the blade is a little duller than i prefer, but a good sharpening took care of that. they are a little heavier than your standard krambit, but the longer blade and the overall balance makes it feel nice either forehand or backhand. the grip is designed for comfort and control, and the ring is smooth enough to not hurt your hand on when striking. the only downside to this blade in my opinion is all the writing on it, but thats a minor pet peve. the sheath is tight and definitely secures the blade in place for travel or cary. this is the knife to buy.

good overall
I have this piece for a few weeks now and I am rather impressed, the look of it is fluent yet commanding in presence. It is quite strong and functional for "normal" purpose. Also the comfortable design makes it perfect for self defense, however, the only downside is the advertised edge at the backbone of the blade is not sharp and the sheath does not make the blade any justice, it is quite cumbersome and aesthetically flawed.

Acceptable krambit
I will start with the cons: The blade was sturdy for a while and the tip chicks easly as well the grip tends to bend slightly, after multiple use the blade tends to shake very slight but barely noticeable, the molded grips is not made for all hand sizes.
Pros: the blade is when its sharpened it can be deadly especially when i tested it on a ballistic dummy with artificial bones in it, the blade does quite amount of damage but the edge does not hold very well and i chipped the tip when stabbing the dummy but the ring does good on durability when attempting to back swing in a stabbing motion
You get what you pay for so price for durability i would say it is a good deal!

Looks awesome
The blade is beautifully crafted and it is well balanced the leather knife encasing it fits well but the latch to hold in place needs about to millimeters extension InDesign due to it doesn't close fully

Get what you pay for
Knife is cumbersome, at best. Not because it’s overly heavy, but more so because of the design. Handle is horribly awkward, and if you’re trying to return the blade to the sheath with one hand, ave yourself the trouble. It won’t work. For an edged weapon to be effective, it needs to work in conjunction with the overall style. This, falls flat on its face. Sheath makes it impossible for quick deployment, and god help you if you need to get this thing out of your hand and into the sheath quickly. A blade like this is useless for stabbing applications, and unless you really, REALLY, have a passion for spending a couple hours on whetstones, this thing will not slice effectively either. Neat looking? Very. Practical? Not remotely.
