An EMT needs a knife that means business and never gives up, and this 8” Rescue Tech assisted-opening beast never quits. Get one now because they won't last long at this price.
I got one of these for the young men's president at my church (LDS/Mormon) and also got on for the secretary of the young men's presidency at my church. Because they will be graduating med school soon. I love BUDK. this is my second time purchasing stuff off of BUDK.com

Great Deal!
Like every purchase I've made from BUDK, the quality of this product is surprisingly excellent. The blade is perfectly sharpened, the clip doesn't seem cheaply made and the weight is sign of reliability(as Boris the Blade puts it). Def worth the 7 bux you spend on this thing. Need a good reliable cheap knife? GET THIS ONE!

Great Deal ** Great Knife
I am conducting an experiment for the purposes of my online survival show and for this particular survey I ordered 15 knives and machetes from BudK, ALL of them PRICED $9.99 or LESS then compared upon delivery to see what I got for the money. This is ONE of the results - look for my other reviews for more info as some of the items were GREAT and some were not so great -- Here are the results for this item: THIS IS IT! Out of all the knives I compared from BudK on this order, this is my favorite no question! Out of all the pocket knives and tactical folders I ordered from Budk as mentioned above THIS KNIFE IS THE CLEAR WINNER. First, it has the spring assist opening which works perfectly and actually feels just like my $60 Kershaw which I carry and use every day, and the liner lock works every time. Secondly it is just the right size for a tactical folder and fits the hand well. Third, I like the plastic or bake-a lite handle as it seems to resist wear better and is lighter. Fourth, the glass break button at its location would be an incredible striking weapon, and probably the most lethal part of of the knife in a self defense fueled panic - I have even used it as a center punch. Additionally the blade is sharp and the tanto blades are always more everyday-useful. I was pleasantly surprised with this at $5.99 - this is an INCREDIBLE knife for six bucks and seems to be better and more useful than any of the Ridge Runner series knives. BudK scores a perfect ten with this knife for $5.99 - probably the best value on the website - you cannot go wrong with this, I will probably order ten more of these for friends, family, vehicles, bug-out bag, etc. I highly recommend this item, definitely worth the price, and I will be buying more of these.

good value
This knife is a good value for the money. It opens easily and locks securely. It is sufficiently sturdy for any task for which a knife should be put to use, and is a good every day carry knife, being priced cheaply enough that if you should happen to lose it, you won't be heartbroken about it.

Disappointing!
As a former EMT I was attracted to the emblem on the knife and upon arrival it felt good in the hand, easy to open and the blade was sharp. The literature stated that the knife would not give. After opening the knife about ten times the lock gave and did not keep the blade in place. Thank goodness it did not happened during a rescue.
