Awesome \m/
It's awesome! I like this sword; I can't wait to try it out on some stupid foe, hahaha.. I really like it's black blade, could've been sharper though, but that's ok~ The price is killer awesome, $13 I'll be back for other swords and bowies =) Thank you, BudK

fortress sword
one of the better blades for the cost. the sheath is next to useless though. handle wrap can be replaced with electrical tape, or grip tape if and wen it begins to fall off. other than that, probably one of the better cheap blades on the market.

I love it.
PROS: I love it. I use it as a machete and it's one of the best I've ever had. Always get compliments on it at camp. I have not had problems with the sheath as others have had. Light, fast, and sharp. Doesn't wear you out, and I think the upturned blade gives you a little more oomph in your cut. CONS: Thin metal. Here to order my second one because I hit a piece of metal pipe as I was clearing some brush. The pipe won - it wasn't even close. Still, for $13, I consider it almost disposable. As others have said, the stock grip stinks. I wrapped my first one with paracord and it made it much better - however, then the top snap on the sheath wouldn't close. Oh well. Despite the cons, I'll keep ordering them over and over if and when they fail. One of my favorite items.

Zombie Killer!!!!!
A solid piece of steel with leather around the handle for excellent grip. Dull from out of box but has a nice edge that can be nicely sharpened.

Great. 100% Worth It
So, this is the first time I've ordered something off this site, and it's perfect. The order time was estimated to be around a week, but it got here in 5 days. So that's a 100% Satisfaction aspect. The Sword was in great condition, and still is; a few smudges, but nothing some polish wouldn't get out, or maybe a good spit-shine. Overall; really good. It's all one piece of stainless-Steel so it's very sturdy. I tested it on the box; it takes the hits, and tears it apart. Overall; Perfect. Nothing wrong.

Very nice
Great sword. Nice and sharp for my standards. Sheath is very nice, the only problem is maneuvering it into the sheath sometimes. Other than that, excellent sword.

Very Nice Sword
Love this sword. Its so worth the money, I just got mine and had to jump online and tell budk what a great job they did. Please do yourself a favor and buy this sword. The sheath could be a bit better but i still love it!

Incredible.
The sword itself is a very cool and slick one. The talon curve tip can cut and mince through any target with ease! My only problem is that it has a wrapped handle. It would be a no brained if full tang micarta, but a very good buy for the price.
Dale Mason Jul 07, 2015 (4 out of 5)
Pros:
- Very solid. No separate parts; one single piece of steel with a wrapping for a handle. (Almost like Shikai-form Zangetsu's little brother.)
Steel is hard and rigid, but not too much so.
- Sharp. Not terribly so, but sharp nonetheless. Holds an edge decently well.
- Only costs $20.
Cons:
- Garbage handle wrapping. Held on with glue, and becomes loose quickly with use. Can be fixed easily with electrical/duct tape.
Recommend proper re-wrapping upon arrival.
- Tip bends somewhat easily.
- Hardness of the steel causes chipping with use, rather than edge rolling.
(Could be considered a pro or a con, depending on personal preference.)
- Sheath is absolute trash. Recommend disposal of it immediately upon arrival.

Zombie Killer
This is one nice sword for the money. But is more like a machete. It is well balanced with a nice grip and surprisingly has a sharp blade right out of the box although some further sharpening is required to be a mean zombie slashing lethal blade.

SHARP
No words can describe how sharp this sword is its RAZOR sharp plus its full tang sheath sucks but overall this sword is amazing

OK for the price
I liked the price--it's light--nimble and sharp---it worked nicely for clearing brush. The handle is a little hard on the hands after a while--but it's still ok--I'll be back to get more.

Great Blade
If you read my reviews, I have only one purpose for buying blades and weapons these days. This little sword is incredibly sharp and has a very nice weight to it. The handle wrapping is really bad, but that can be taken care of with hockey tape, etc. The sheath is useless! This blade is small enough to do many Chinese Broad sword techniques as well as Filipino techniques, yet it is heavy enough to do serious damage to the attacker. I think about many of these blades (not all of them) just like those disposable cameras. If it breaks or gets stuck in someone, no big deal because I have another blade of some type handy. So these cheaper blades are great! To be honest, this blade is Bad A**! For the price you can buy many - I got 3 to start and will buy more. Food, Water, Weapons!

Fun and inexspensive
Not the sword of swords of course. Definitely the sword for cheap people. Worth the buy.
Zachary Poirier Mar 08, 2013 (4 out of 5)
Decent strength,
Solid edge.
The only issue is that the sheath is flimsy
john smith Feb 08, 2013 (4 out of 5)
I like it
Buy it. The sheath is not a "quick draw", but it is well worth the money. Buy it.

Extremly sharp
I bought this sword just a little bit ago for a freind. He loves the sword and so do i. it is extremly sharp and i would recemend this to you. First you got to know that i'm 12 years old and we were slicing things in my backyard last night and my bro. hit the table we had the stuff on at just the right angle and broke off a chunk of the blade. But besides that it is a great sword.

amazing sword thin blade bad sheath
to start off this is one amazing sword but the sheath is not very good. one of my idiotic friends took out the sword without undoing the second button so the whole sheathe came apart. the sword is also very sharp out of the box and i brought it camping to show off then got the idea of rattlesnake hunting with it i found one about 5.5 feet long and used the sword which cut straight through the snake. the only part i didnt like was the fact that the rocks underneath the snake seriously dented the blade but overall amazing sword

Good price
Not thrilled and not disappointed. Price is reflective of quality. Nice blade design. Blade handle wrapped. Thin metal. Not sharp. Will make a great gift with the holidays coming!

What A Steal of A Deal For $10
I bought this sword cuz it wuz cheap. But its worth way more than $10. The blade reminds me slightly of an Arabian style sashmir. It's got sum weight to it, but it's able to be swung quite fast. Luv the fact that it's full tang, so it's functional 4 sword combat. I like the handle wrapping too. It's first covered w/ electrical tape then wrapped again w/ white leather 4 a sturdy grip. Wish they would a done that w/ the Ichigo sword, that handle unravels quickly. U won't find a better deal 4 a cheaper full tang beast of a sword. THX BudK!!

Nice for the money
I just got this short sword in the mail and I like that it came sharp out of the box. Sheath looks nice but sharp sword already cut inside stitching in one day. Cheesy grip but fixed easily by wrapping a steering wheel cover around it I bought for $0.99. More of a machete than a sword but very sturdy because of the broad blade. Easily cut through a 1 inch press board plank. Full tang. Thanks BudK.

Just got mine a few hours ago. And I must say, this scimitar functions really well. A little wider than I thought it would be, but still cool. This one goes well with my black ronin kunai ^_^
Kevin May 01, 2015 (3 out of 5)
sharp enough
I thought this looked pretty fun. I liked the look of the heavy bladed short sword. I really wacked on a lot of limbs, branches and some small saplings. The Sweet spot folded over and chipped. But I kept sharpening it and straitened the edge. If you want something to play with cheap and hard. Go for it. But it is cheap as well as inexpensive.

Decent
This sword is the first product that I have bought from budk I am somewhat displeased with the quality of the sheath I have had to resew the sheath 3 times. the sword blade gets dents fairly easily. I had to unwrap the whole handle throw the wrapping away in the garbage. I then used electrical tape to wrap the handle over the wooden handle pieces. The wooden handle pieces are not secured to the handle so there for I had to super glue to wooden handle pieces onto the handle. Currently I am working on reattaching the fake leather wrapping to the handle I have had no succses thus far. Other than that this is a good rough sword in the hands of any warrior.

Decent Sword
I purchased this sword a few months back and it's okay at best. In terms of bargain factory made swords, this one holds up pretty well. For $12 it's not bad, but if you're looking for a real sword, I'd say pass this one up. However, it is weighted very nicely and works well if you're looking to practice with curved swords.
jose sotelo May 04, 2012 (3 out of 5)
just got mine today sharper than i actually thought really good quality
Darren Feb 18, 2014 (2 out of 5)
Just ok
I'm giving this a 2 just because the blade has to long of a draw out on the edge. Causes it to chip away on the edge bad. Use it around on some small weeds and small brush just to try it. And was real pleased with about the first half of dozen swings cut real good. But after that it started dulling and then started be dingo n the edge and breaking pieces off from the edge. If it wasn't so drawn out to the edge. It would do very nice I'm guessing
