Got it quick and easy. Cheap for the quality in my opinion. Incredibly light, can be wielded in both or single hands. I'm going to buy another for some dual wielding fun!

I didn't thought this $13 sword was this good. I have cut almost everything with it, including plastic, wood, bamboo and even a metal plate. In adition, It is super light weighted, you can swing it all day and carry it effortless anywhere. The handle isn't the best, but it's easy to personalize and totally worth it.

I have bought 3 of these swords over the last 2 years and have given them away as gifts. It is a cool little sword , great for chopping through fruits and plastic boodles...it a lot fun..I would use it on wood tho. .just not heavy duty enough but a great sword. The tuba adds the the awesome look of it..it's rare to find a sword with a tuba at this price!

The best thing to do with cord wrapped handles is get some heavy duty heat shrink from your local electrical supply... I cut off the cord and cut a 7 section of HS-430-L,4,25 1.10-0.35 in 600V 90C heat shrink... You wont be sorry...I cut off the cord first but it's a personal prefererence. Larger heat shrink is availible if tou want to keep the cord on....but a good heat gun is a must for optimum performance.

I love this sword it may be small but it packs a big punch i made a large order to from BUDK and at first was a little unsure about this sword not as sharp as in the video but with a little elbow grease and a sharpening stone got it razor sharp showed this to a bunch of my friends and they want to buy from BUDK to hey for 13 dollars you cant go wrong

I Luv. the Cross, it can stand for so much! I bought two, 1 for me and 1 for my Son. Some of these other reviews are stupid. If your buying a $10. sword are you really gone to chop wood or hit someone with it?, If you want to chop wood buy a axe, if you want to hurt somebody buy a gun.

I have purchased several swords and knives from Budk and not all have been as sharp as advertised, but for the price I'm paying I really can't complain too much. Although I do wish they wouldn't advertise something as razor sharp when it really isn't. HOWEVER....this Chopper Ninja Katana is most definitely very sharp, just as advertised and I thought I'd better write and say so! I took a gallon milk carton, filled it with water, and cut that thing in half in one full swipe. It was cool to watch and worth writing about. If you're looking for sharp, this is it....

very good smaller sword for the price. Was somewhat sharp, but was able to put a nice sharp edge on it. I tested it using a gunny sack of sand. Does an excellent job stabbing and cutting into the bag. Would reccoemend to friends and family. Can be used as a working peice as well as display. thanks Bud K.

Are you kidding? For this price I 3x my money at a table. Not heavy-duty, but real dangerous. You wouldn't let an 12 year old play with it. Very sharp and lethal for the money.

This is the best sword I have ever bought. It really is FULL TANG although the handle is flanked by wood and the loosely wrapped but overall this is a great sword. Comes sharp to!!!

this sword is awesome it was only 13$ and it works great. i used it to cut tree limbs 3in thick and the blade has not broken or dulled. the wrapping comes undone but can be easily fixed and is great for chopping fruit, i feel like a fruit ninja, this sword was a great buy over all thank you BUDK :)

Got the sword for my woman. Very well put together for such a low price. Super fine point, so do not use around children and try not to hurt yourself. The only problem is that the sheath is crap. The stitching on one side split wide open and the strap is too small to put over anything that isn't a small child or anorexic person. The sword itself is perfect.

Great Sword, solid built, I use it more like a machete and it works great. It comes pretty sharp but after I sharpened it a bit with my sharpener its now super sharp. The nylon sheath is not so hot but does the job, I did a little modification to it and its a little more sturdy but it also came unstitched a bit(not a big deal). I actually bought another one after I received the first one I ordered, so now I have two! Great price and you should definitely buy one or two for yourself!!! Thanks again BUDK!!!!

The Chopper sword is the first oriental sword I have owned, and I bought it simply because of the price. Buy several of these swords right now, because if you don't, you're missing out on all the fun! Its a compact piece, very lightweight with fantastic balance, and super-duper sharp. My nylon sheath came a little messed up where the blade tie-down goes, but I don't mind. The etchings on the blade are interesting and bring a higher visual value to the piece. The blade is full tang and very comfortable for swinging or short chopping motions. I forsee lots of halved melons in this swords future! Thanks BUDK, this sword is a great idea for everybody!

This sword is a wonderful piece, with beautiful lines and masterfully made. The size makes it perfect for anyone who prefers short-swords, and the sheath easily slings across your back. The point is needle sharp, so be cautious when you swing, it's easy to cut something with the end and not realize it. The finish is flawless black, and the gold lettering is amazing to look at. The tsuba is a little large for my taste, but it's the same jet black as the rest of the piece. A wonderful sword all in all.

The only flaw I found with the order was the sheath. It's easy for the point to cut the thin stitching when you slide the blade in, but some glue or a heavier thread can take care of that. The sheath also has a sliding buckle on the strip of nylon that you use to wear the sheath. Be careful with that buckle, it's rather small and looks a bit frail. The sheath it's self is pretty sturdy, with a plether lining inside the nylon for the edge. Take out the thin plastic sleeve as soon as you get this though, it's aggravating to try and get that out once it's all bunched up in the bottom of the sheath.

5 out of 5 for the sword, and a 4 out of 5 for the sheath. A good buy if you like short-swords!

I bought this sword about a year ago when it came the blade was sharp but the cord wrapping was messed up. easy fix I just wrapped it with more cord. I did buy another sword and the handle was fine. Did not see and wields on the blade but the blade is full tang. Will take a better look at the blade. Great sword for the price.

This sword isn't very bad for the price. Yes the handle is bad, but I've had it for maybe 4 months and its only a bit loose. As for the blade, it is pretty sharp, you can cut an apple clean in half…i did it 4 times in a row. If you want a screw around sword without spending much, this is a good buy. As for the Japanese on the blade. I had my friend translate it for me, and the writing says "Be brave with Honor". Don't know about you guys, but it was killing me to know what it said. Now that i know, I'm much happier with it.

I love the sword so fr, nothing wrong with it, it was a little shorter then i imagined but that ok that only means im gonna buy another one for my other hand :D, the only thing i want to know is what the Chinese or Japanese writing on the side says (translated to English) if you can help with this Thanks in advance, if not oh well Thanks anyway! Happy Hunting!

Got two of these during the recent BOGO sale. I highly recommend ordering these during a BOGO because the quality can be iffy. One I got has a perfectly straight blade and one has a bent blade, not too noticeable, but definetely curved. Both I received have bent handles. I assume this is due to the welds some have mentioned. The weld connects the handle to the blade just below the tsuba where the wrap begins. I wish they were truly full-tang without the welds. Budk off

This sword is well made, cant beat the price for a full tang sword like this. I got this on sale for $10 with free shipping! I bought 20ft of black para-cord for a couple bucks and wrapped it over the existing handle wrap. The original wrap is to thin for complete comfort, so definitely would suggest wrapping it with something durable and comfortable. Now I have a great full tang sword with 20ft of para-cord in case I need it for who knows! Great buy, would recommend.

I love obtaining full tang equipment for safety and utilitarian purposes. Because screw in handles are a product of a false economy, plus one hit and they are done. Full Tang only can ensure a piece of equipment is going to be able to use over and over again. As far as using my new Chopper, no provoking has occured to have to use this wonderful piece of craftsmanship,YET! THANK YOU BK !!!!

pretty good sword for fruit slicing, or water filled Milk Cartons. Very Fine point, Sturdy Tsuba, although the handle wasn't wrapped well & the sheath soon made it dangerous to wear as the sword went right through the unfortified sheath, I think it was a good buy

I purchased two of these swords just for the heck of it and i must say that i enjoy slicing things with them. I was picturing these swords to be a bit bigger .. but hey they're swords! and for a great price. The body of the sword consists of two parts. the handle and blade. the handle is a 3.1 mm thick of metal with a slab of wood on each side for comfort. The metal part of the handle was soldered to the metal of the blade. This isn't necessarily full tang.. but its still strong. I wouldn't recommend trying to slice anything thicker or harder than a 1cm by 1cm piece of wood. This sword is a great purchase! Thanks BUDK, I will be buying more from you soon!

Got this from a list of mixing BOGO items so wouldn't have been a regular choice. This is my first not good review for BK but I'm always truthful. This is either a cheap looking display piece or a toy. It's always near as a last resort but you are gonna have to hack for 30min to do damage. Nylon sheath is cheap. Just not the best quality. But hey guys and girls, you just got a $13 sword that can work for defense if needed (last resort!!!!). I made it sound horrible but the truth is, for $13 it is neat to have and play with. Silver linings!!!!!! Not good, not totally bad. Be mindful this is not a full size Samurai sword so read dimensions. Actually the size makes it easier and more maneuverable. Hey, this might be just the thing for you.

I'm pretty disappointed in this, but I should have known better. To call this thing a sword is to say a toothpick is a pocket knife. It's little more then a cut piece of metal sharpened with an edge. An edge which is decently sharpened. Which was good. If you want something cheap to have simple fun with this isn't a bad purchase, but it's a bit pricey, it says sudgested retail is 15 where budk's price is 17, marked down to 13. I think ten dollars is an okay asking price and worth getting on a sale off that. But hey, i paid 20 dollars for a foam nerf sword so, i don't regret paying 13 all that much. I wouldn't suggest this sword but it can cut well enough.

Holds and edge well, and feels comfortable in the hand. My only complain is that the blade needs to be thicker. Other than the blade being thin, it is a decent buy for the money.

The sword itself was alright I mainly just expected more a good blade but very light also the sheath was easily ripped but that can be fixed also the engraving was barely visible over all I'm fine with this purchase but I wouldn't buy it again

It was pretty good at first i cut cans which was fun but after that i didnt use it much. one day me and my friend decided to go to the woods. i couldnt find a machete so i decided to use the sword it was ok at first then when i hit a branch like 2 inches thick i hit it once the second time i hit it the blade just fell right off the handle. then i noticed it was welded together under the guard. the only reason its 2 stars is because it was fun using it to hit cans.

This was a nice sword at first but then as i played around with it a bit it got weaker. I was chopping some water bottle's with when i set it on the ground. When I picked it up again i grabbed the handle and only the handle came up with it! The handle snapped right off of the blade right beloew the hand guard. Fun at first but next time I won't let a budget get in my way.

The sword is made from two pieces of metal the blade is Stainless Steel. the handle is carbon steel. They are joined just behind the guard. The problem is that there are only two dots of weld (3/16" diameter at most) holding the two pieces of metal together. The seam between the two pieces of metal is about 1.25" long, welding this up made a big difference in strength. Also, the entire portion behind the wrapping of the handle is hollow (not full tang), the metal only goes around the edge. two thin pieces of wood cover the hole before the wrap is placed on. If you have the ability to weld, build yourself a better handle. The stainless blade portion itself is nice and fairly sharp.

Well this is the first time I had ever bought a sword and it did not impress me what so ever. I could go to my local hard ware store and make this my self. I should of known for what the price was for it. Ofcourse I didn't think I was going to get a high quality sword for the 15 or 20 I paid. This sword is shorter than I ever thought a sword would be, the handle is flat with just some para cord wrapping around it. The design isn't bad. That part is pretty cool. Now it is desently sharp and will cut fairly well ( for now ). I really don't imagine this item lasting very long after some use. But I guess for the price that's what ya get. This item to me is just something to play with for awhile if not just something to put on display for something cool to look at. I wouldn't recommend this unless your looking for something to experiment cutting things with.

This is a cheap sword, low quality, about what I expected. It is not truly "full-tang" as when unwrapped, the handle is connected to the blade by 3 spot-welds and is mostly skeletonized. I can TIG-weld it and correct this flaw and make a new casing for the handle. Otherwise, it's halfway decent. You get what you pay for...
