Product Description

Where can you buy a battle ready katana for $ 30? They don't mention that in their description but I researched this Katana at another site which said it came sharp with blood groove. It came to me VERY sharp. It is tightly wrapped with nothing loose. It has a heavy blade ready to do what you ask of it. The scabbard is quite attractive with a bright green bamboo leaves in green. It fits nicely in this scabbard. It is a worthy addition to anyone's collection. Better buy one before they are gone. It actually came sharper than my Shimwa Damascus blades. Thanks Bud K! Brian

Its my first sword so I wasn't looking for anything special, however this sword definitely impressed me. I am glad to have purchased it.

Love the 39.99 price tag on this sword. When it arrived I was supprised at the quality of craftsmanship on this sword. Where I Live is almost 8000 feet in elevation. I split alot of wood getting ready for winter. Should have seen my family gaulk as stood and split 4 peices of firewood. There was no damage to the blade, although don't recomend testing your sword in such a manner. I've gotten 98 percent of the sap resign off, stil working on the other 2.

To be honest the first thing that caught my attention was the price of this sword. I'm still a beginner when it comes to swords but I've done some research to know what I was getting based off the specs. After I was satisfied I read some of the reviews and said what the hell and bought it.

I couldn't ask for a better sword to start off my collection.

On to the sword itself.

For one like I stated earlier amazing price. Also was very happy with how sharp the sword was. Was well oiled but seemed to have accumulated a bit of crud on it but a quick wipe down with my bandanna fixed that. The tsuba had nice feel and looks way better in person. Had a nice worn look to it. The hilt waas nice even if it was cotton wrapped. Wasn't uncomfortable at all. The seya took me a bit convincing since I prefer simple katanas and to be honest it takes a bit of the seriousness away from the overall presentation. But the bamboo carvings were actually a darker shade of green when I got it so I really wasn't bothered and think the darker color looks better.

The only problem I've come across with this sword is the balance. While on the most part the balance is perfect when going through a few paces with it the blade seemed to dip down. To be fair that just might be me getting used to the weight.

So there you go. For that price and quality some of you more seasoned sword collectors/users may have to purposefully look for flaws that might not even be a real flaw if anything. I have 3 more swords coming soon so I will write reviews on them when the time comes.

The sword is utterly amazing. Way better than anything I had expected. The blade is so sharp it actually managed to cut thin slivers of the sheath out from inside it. The blade is lightweight and easy to swing. Not to mention it's just aesthetically beautiful. Well worth the $35 I spent on it, and I'd recommend it to anyone.

I actually bought two of these, since I figured I'd get 2 60$ katanas for only 70$. (Since they are currently on sale for 34.99)
They're quite impressive, and the saya's decoration looks really cool. The blade is basically 3 times wider than a katana my friend got for 30$ at the flee market.
Therefore, very good deal on this katana.
It feels very light in my hands.
I think I'll do some damage to the bamboo in my backyard tomorrow...

I had received the sword and loved it. It is sturdy and i can tell you i can't not just walk around my house with it. I take it everywhere x)

Anyways, yeah, nice, sturdy, strong.
Overall good sword, slightly heavier than expected, but not too heavy.
