Fairly priced: bought as a gift for my husband. Very good metal. Sturdy. Arrival date was acceptible as well. My husband didn't like the fact that there wasn't a lot of support in the handles; whatever he struck would reverberate up the blade and into his arms and hands. Very nice feature however: when the material and "tape" is removed from the hilt of both blades, an opening in the metal allows the installation of a sturdier hilt. Such as a wood grip, or rubber; very inexpensive intallation. I would recommend this product for any blade-lover, survivalist, collector or enthusiast. :)

Bought these just to have a cheap set of blades, but was VERY suprized. They are thick enough for real use and made of 420 stainless. When I recieved mine I put on my kevlar gloves, grabbed the handle and tip of the short sword and bent it about 20-25 degrees, and it sprange back to true. Not bad for a set of $20 blades. The strap is too short though for carrying on the back though, at least for me it was. Overall though I would rate them a 10/10, and I buy custom blades at $350+ IMHO you can't go wrong if you want a good set for low cost.

I'll make it simple... Great weight, Nice handle wraps, Easy to sharpen, the sheath worries me a bit but I will easily re-inforce it & that's not important anyways.. I am more than happy I bought these... THANKS BUDK.. This will not be my last purchase.

These swords are AWESOME! My brother got them for me for a birthday gift since my last swords were stolen. Honestly these are the greatest blades I have had in a while, they are very sturdy and can be sharpened very easily. They came somewhat sharp but I know how to sharpen blades with a good stone and got these to shave and accidentally cut myself while doing so. (whoops) but per the previous reviews the handles are not very good but that can easily be taken care of, overall the two blades are well worth the price!!! They have been the first purchases from Budk and not the last, currently waiting on the M48 Hawk and some additional throwing knives to arrive to my house, I CANT WAIT!!! THANKS BUDK!!!

These are pretty good swords, and at a great price. I thought they'd be a little bit longer but I'm not complaining. Very good deal.

Amazing for the price! 19 bucks for two blades usually means you're getting 2 polished turds. Not at all the case with these. They come will oiled and fairly sharp. Great for beginners! The only real con is the wrapping around the grip, its cheap and it comes off...but if thats the only problem with these, i say its well worth the $$.

These are fantastic swords great for the price I paid for them. They are excellent for slashing things. But I think they should be sharper although they were sharp out of the box. But the only fault is the nylon wrapped handles come loose. But overall these are very great swords! THX BUDK.

These are very crisp, nice sharp looking blades. The hilt is pretty flimsy, and the back strap is totally useless, as both blades face the same direction, and it sits at an awkward angle to draw the swords from. But as for the blades themselves, excellent. They are sharp, solid, and very deadly looking. Great addition to my collection.

These where my first Budk swords. i am very happy. I found out how sharp they are by mistake. I like the feel and weight. very good for home protection and can take a limb off very easy. I have become a big fan of Budk due to these swords. Thank you Budk.

The smaller of the blades is smaller than I thought it would be, which is actually perfect!

I'm impressed with this specific product. Skinnier than I thought they would be, which also worked out to my favor.

Blades are nice and clean. Great for professional sword fight practice, as dual blades or as single blades.

Very pleased with this product! =)

5/5

these things are amazing, my first swords-didnt know about budk at the time. i got em from a shop in the mall. i use them mostly to clear brush. i still do and there 4 yrs old-these wont let you down combat wise-ive never had to use them in a fight but i held the long blade and the shorter away from me (not at the same time, i used 2 hands) and had a friend wail on em with; a crow bar, 1h knight medievalist sword and a 2h katana and for the heck of it a mop(still dont know why) i still use them and have long since sharpened the dents out

These swords are very durable and light. My only complaints are that they are not sharp, the handle material comes off easily, and the sheath is too limp. But for twenty dollars, this is a fantastic deal, a must get for sword fighters.

i am rating this i on a money/value scale, hence the 5. this set includes one blade about the size of a wakizashi and one tha is bassically a ninja-ish version of a long knife.

the hilt is kinda thin for my taste. it's the size of the back of the blade plus a little padding. it is not very sharp at all. however it is decently balanced, although light it has a good feel to it, and the ricasso is a great touch. all in all, for $20 you can't go wrong.

Well when i saw the box i just thought wow this is huge but then i was like dont judge a book by its cover because these were a lil to small. other then that there perty sharp ;) light weight but the grip is a little loose, but other then that its a very good product for its price!

The blades were fine but the sheath and the cord wrap on the handles left something to be desired.

Like everything that BudK sells, the viper set is a great value for the price paid. These are mean little blades and are excellent for home defense.

These swords are a nice value for the money expended. Blades are sharp on delivery and seem to be sturdy and a nice length. The sling is just a bit tight, but should break in nicely

These are a great pair of swords! Since I am a small guy, the weight and feel to these swords is excellent, and they are sharp! The "taped" hilts are a small downside, and I would prefer a quick-release sheath to the nylon one, but other than that the swords are a good buy.

Got my set during the buy one get one sale and didn't think they would be all that good due to the price but wow ......they are sharp enough to do some damage, metal is solid only thing keeping it from a 5 star review is the cheap grips that are easily fixed with some quality paracord.......thanks BUDK see you for my next order in 7-10.

I got this as part of the limited BOGO offer, and four swords for 20 bucks was practically a steal! The handle wraps are terrible, but who cares. For the price I will wrap them myself. They are sturdy and have a super sharp tip. Fun swords to mess around with.

Good swords, very sharp, but the case is flimsy and the sword punctured a hole in it the first time puttin the knife in.

Not at all bad for the price. The longer sword's blade was slightly bent. They're pretty sturdy regardless (tried to bend it back a bit, it's not that easy). Can't beat the price though!

Great swords, cheap, good shape, good color, good blade. Only one defect, the handle. Under the lace the shim had hold by a black sticky tape. It is a litle beet week and easy to damage. But for this price it's very acceptable. Sheath it's a extra very appreciable.

i am very impressed with the item, coinsedering the price the viper
set is well worth it . i would not take these blades in to hardcore battle. but light hand swords like these would fit an assasins hands & needs very well .

I was waiting for a BOGO deal for this set. the first thing i did was unwrap the handle and use real 550 cord to wrap it again, i knew I was going to do that even before I received them. The blades were very sharp and ready to go, there is some flex in the blade, best used on softer material ( it is not a machete). One of the short swords has a slight bend, about 1/4 inch difference from end to end, the other swords are very straight. The sheath is not very good quality, one already had a hole in it when i took it out of the box.
