This is a great sword. Contrary to other reviews mine was actually quite stable and sturdy. No rattling or loose parts. However it did come coated with thick grease which took a couple hours to remove from the blade and saya. Not full tang but if I sharpened it I'm sure it would at least cut through 3 maybe 4 inches of straw or grass. Not a bad sword for the price.

Very impressed with the quality of this sword. Solely used as a display piece. Definitely a great piece for the $$$.

Just received the sword and can say that I'm very pleased with the quality considering the price of the blade. I took a file to the blade and just dressed the edge a littl bit and found that the steel is a little harder than I expected ,so this should be an effective light cutter providing the tang strength is adequate. For the money plus shipping, this is a good deal and if kept within its limitations, should be a good little fun sword.

This one I am pleasently surprised by, I actually expected less and got more. The blade is well made and not sharpened so it gives me something to do. Firm handle wrap is tight and well placed. The guard tsuba is well made, there are no flaws I can see on it. The saya is nicely crafted came glossed and with diagonal red lines painted on , a nice touch to give color to the saya. I lucked out there were no flaws or paint goops along the saya either so it really looks great next to my other swords. Nice job all the way around

Wow, this sword just came in today, and I'm very impressed. For starters, it came quickly, within a week as promised. The detail on the sword is great--I love the double bloodgrooves running on both sides of the blade. The tsuba is a very interesting piece, it looks much better than in the picture. The picture makes the sword look almost straight, but it does, in fact, curve nicely. It's not full tang, but the blade is locked in tightly. The sword gleams in the picture, and once I wiped the sword down and re-oiled it, my sword was just as shiny and impressive. I would have liked it to be a bit heavier, but all in all, this sword excellent. And for the price, it just can't be beat.

Sword came in time, Though the blade wasnt exactly a blade. Nothing a half hour with the accusharp didnt fix. Other than that sword looked just like it did with the picture. Cuts stuff very nicely once sharp, and the point is very.. pointy. I recommend this sword.

I just got this today and i must say I am truly pleased with it there are however pros & cons to this sword.
Pros: Very light, great balance, and BEAUTIFUL to look at.. truly unique Cons: No cutting edge at all ( I know it said this in the descrip.) not sure if I can sharpen it,it smaller than I thought at first glance I thought it was a wakisashi when I compared it to my other katana. Over all an exellent pratice sword and I recommend it to anyone looking for a unique edition to start/finish a collection, or as a gift for a friend/family member.

One of the first swords I've ever bought myself, it got here in about a week as it said it would, it came in good condition as expected. It wasn't as sharp as I thought it would be, and the blade was sharpened in a little bit of a crooked angle. But over all it's a beautiful sword and definitely worth the money.

Nice looking sword. Elegant looking. Tight fitting saya. Quality could be a little better, but for the money not too bad. The tsuba is very nice for the price of the sword.

It is what it is, a cheap version of the kissaki morha Zukuri style. I own a $300 version of this style and purchased this one to use as a blunt practice sword.

First off, This sword is not a functional sword. By that I mean it can not be taken apart, the ito wrap on the tsuka is very loose, and the blade it self is in what seems a half finished state. By unfinished I mean it seems the central fuller on each side end near the tip just before what is obviously drill holes part way into the steel. As for the edge, while not sharp there are some parts that are sharpish. I will have to file the edge down and re wrap the ito to make it a safer practice sword.

As first stated it is what it is. I did not expect much for this price and so am not disappointed. I do however feel it is important to let it be known in this review what to expect if someone is buying this, especially since the reviews I read for this were not very informed. This is a sword you might expect for so low a price, nothing really functional and no real display qualities.
