The Single-Action Army Revolver was produced in several forms and many calibers from 1872 to 1940, with production totaling about 350,000 pieces. As its introduction coincided with the settlement of the Wild West, the names Peacemaker and Frontier Six-Shooter were popularized.

I bought this Colt Cavalry Model to use in my Western holster making gig. Ring`s Blueguns "Plastic" some use for holster display. Point is, The cost is about the same, So why not get the Metal (Attractive & Lifetime durable) replica? Using this replica I can also make the 4. 75" model "Peacemaker" holster as well as the 6" (Closed muzzle). With a measurement. The scale is just right, The fact that it operates like a real revolver is a plus, The Nickel finish & Real Wooden grips are also great for display. The Revolver made it here to North Texas from GA. earlier than advertised. I`ll be buying the Winchester next for Saddle Scabbards next.

This is an excellent replica. In case you are wondering about the difference between this and the .45 Army revolver, also offered by Budk, this one's barrel is 2 1/8" longer. Otherwise, they are identical - pewter-colored metal frame and wood grips.

Awesome collection! Reviewed by igorot on Jun 15, 2011   5 out of 5

This is the third "gun" I bought from BUDK. Two are the non-firing replicas and one is the Magnum Semi-Automatic CO2 Air Pistol Revolver. The replica bullets I bought from here fit nicely in this replica's cylinder. It looks and feels so real! For me, there are no flaws to comment about. Great addition to my growing collection. I'm definitely gonna buy more.
