Smith & Wesson got it right with this folding pocket knife equipped with a modified clip point blade constructed of 4034 stainless steel, this time with a partially serrated edge. Built with a sliding safety release, you can engage the rapid-release M.A.G.I.C. assisted-opening mechansim with the thumb stud, and put this serrated pocket knife to work.

This is one of the best knives I have ever had. I've been a S&W fan since the beginning, so when I saw this knife it was a no-brainer. Smoother and faster than most switchblades or other assisted-openers, and cheap enough that you won't worry about it if you need a knife you'll actually use! On thing to note though, is that you need to get THIS model, not the newer one. I bought a newer one and the new style safety is nowhere near as well designed. It uses a ball bearing that is pushed up into a slot on the blade by a pivot. The problem is that sometimes the ball bearing will come out of it's slot and move with the blade, locking up the knife.
